Any thoughts on the Arctic cat version of the Yamacats ? Local dealers are sold out of the Yam's so I'm considering the 7000 cat ? I heard they are the same other than clutching and fuel injection . Wondering about front and rear suspensions and ergo's Any other differences ?

Each model has its own shock packages. The only real difference is the clutching. Even most of the plastic's are interchangeable. Fuel injection and ECU are also the same.

Fuel injection is the same (throttle bodies and injectors come on the engine as supplied from Yamaha)
Clutches and belt are different (never had any issue with mine on my 7000)
Chain case is the same (gear ratio may be different depending on model)
Suspension/shock package varies with model.
There are some differences in the hood and windshield depending on model.
Of course colors will vary as well!

Overall very similar machines and to be honest I put a high value on local dealer support. If you have a local dealer who steps up and takes care of their customers, then that's the one to go with!

I will say the cat is a better buy, hate to say it but they have better Clutches now than Yamaha. Primary rollers and secondery rollers are junk from Yamaha! And the belt will alweys come to the top in secondery in cat,not on Yamaha secondery :(
