Yamacharger.... CPR now sells these....

I guess we have to assume the 8600 rpm's is the shaft speed after the reduction gear. An english version would be nice for those of us that are French challenged.

my thought exactly! i was wondering where the extra rpms went. sure looks like it works though!!!!

Kviper and Jeff Simons are working on one of these very soon......I believe it might even be this week.

there are many reasons this MIGHT Be a really sweet setup, instead of a standard type blower.

the bottom line will be....is 20HP worth 2grand to you?....if it is,im confident this will be a nice way to mod an apex....these guys at Gforce no their stuff!

I still think we will see something very similar on a production sled from yammie, maybe ever for 2011.

Dan

I dont think yamaha will do that, they may do there own version. I think it a good idea but the oil tank in the nose will just increase weight and chain case adjustments will be as time consuming as oil changes. making a new oil tank or using a exsisting one fron a supercharger kit would IMO better then the nose but adding to the 20hp for 2K. Im not against this product at all as I may own one in the near future. I just dont think it is at a factory level. That G-force sled is bad though.

RockerDan - Your informative posts and excitement about this product is making me have dejavu. Are you with THEM??????lol

..will do !! FULL report on the G-Force people and set up...

Threads like this prove that MANY people don't venture far away from this APEX forum to the other forums on the site.

Another reason to NOT move threads to forums like 'mod results' 'suspension' 'skis' 'electrical' etc.....

Ran this post by friend with PHD in engineering, specialty thermodynamics. The numbers they quote are from text book calculations. If you take atmospheric pressure 15 bars, over lbs of boost 2, 17/15 multiply by 151 = hp of stock Apex you get 171. Coincidently exactly what g force quotes and shows from their "dyno numbers". So in a perfect world 2 psi gets you 20 hp. Now add in other factors, how many hp does it take to spin this turbine, how many loses are inherint in the system, heat from compressing the air, from the engine bay. There is no intercooler, compressing air creates heat, heat is the enemy of hp. From what I understand I would not call this snake oil but I would question the real numbers with much apprehension.

This is very interesting. I cant wait to see some real world tests. If I can gain 15-20 hp and keep it reliable ( I mean really reliable... like close to stock) Im in!!

I just want to see some ty members try these out for real and see what the results are..

I love yamaha. I love my apex. I just want more power and speed. We have a lake with 190 miles of shore line and it is 11 miles from one town to the other and I Love rocketing down that lake as fast as I can go. I just wish I had around 180 hp and closer to 120mph and keep stock reliability. Then I would be a happy man...
