My Yamacharger and add-ons have arrived for my Apex ..... which is all pretty exciting, except for the fact that there is no install instructions anywhere in the box. Can someone please direct me to an install thread should there be one.
Thanks in advance,

There is a great thread on this site done by mr.pitstop back in Nov /10.
It is a step by step with pictures. Much better than any instruction papers you'll get. Don't know how to send you a link to the thread. Maybe click on mr.pitstop and you can get to it or p.m. him. Hope this helps

Things you will need
I installed mine, and this is from a list I made as I installed it.
way more time than you planned
as you install the charger you will find out if you thought it was hard to access things like your oil filter, battery, chain case before, almost everything you install will need to be removed to access these things.
I would start getting new bearings & seal and change them in your driveshaft / chaincase area before you start. Its a great time to replace front a arm bushings since everything will be out of the way to start your charger install. KEEP in mine everything you are about to install will need to be removed to access this area once completed.
parts you will need--did you get the hood airbox replacement piece with your kit,
antifreeze, oil, oil filter, rivets, (large, small, short, long) LOC TITE!!! both red & blue, zip ties, sand paper, brake cleaner, coolant hose & clamps.
OTHER-bearings, seals, chain case oil
I installed mine on a 07 attak, I needed a different BATTERY, mine was to large to fit in relocation area. $$$
Tools
primary puller, LARGE tork 90 ft. lbs., rivet tool, ( I got a air rivet tool from harbor freight-online, cheep, works GREAT) saw zall or cut off wheel-BOTH USED, to cut engine block, & oil tank mounting bracket. shop vac & air compressor to clean & clean lots of metal & plastic you will be cutting, remember you have your ( Carb area ???? ) exposed while cutting in this area, DUCK TAPE, TOP of the line electrical tape, (3M- super 88 is the best $13 or 3M (33+ with a yellow center core) , $7, NOTE: I am a electrical contractor this is good tape that will hold up in cold & hot temp. 400 grit sand paper & or emery cloth. MOST INPORTANT dielectric grease on all electric connections, ( do not pull on wires when taking apart connections hold the plastic, use a small straight screwdriver or awl/pick to help start )
New primary kit, $$$, Turk on TY will helped you, I have not got mine dialed in to max performance yet, but your stock weights will not give you the performance you can get out of your kit. I am a amateur clutch adjustor, & do to money reasons I maid my Ulmer clutch work from a 05 Warrior, with help from allen,
I aslo installed a wide front end kit from pioneer performance, & a 13mm sway bar, the 13mm is installed on all 5 of my yamaha sleds, this is a highly recommended upgrade to help with handling, & with the higher speeds you WILL be traveling now is a good time to install it.
Take your time, I had to order several things from different vendors to complete my install. When cutting side panel to add for impeller have ALL your plastic on so it fits together ( the panels flex a little ) you will be cutting by a joint where 2 pieces fit, very little room for error, When drilling out rivets, use a nail punch to drive out the pin then drill with a 3/8 drill bit, NOT ALL THE WAY THROUGH, then use a sharp chisel to pop off the head, tape out with punch.
When rerouting wires I cut a piece of hose & used it for a sleeve then taped it,
On mine there is a shield between the brake disc & your intake plastic, this area was a pain!!! ( I forget wye ) but something would not fit/clear, I will take a look, anyway it fits TITE!!
I will try to add photos, PM me your email & I can send them it you would like to see.
GOOD LUCK, 20 hrs of work- I am a amateur,

I put a couple of these kit's on and it is not that bad. Just call G-Force if you have problem's or question's. If you read all of the instruction's and make a list of what you need before you start you will be fine. A good pair of tin snips and a side cutter actually works better for cutting the side panel. I printed the install instruction's from there web site before I even had the kit and studied them. Good luck!
