Yamaha Warranty Claim?

if you run a rear exchanger on that sled - you should replace the rivets on the rear exchanger with short bolts and lock nuts - I've replaced the rivots n the nytro exchanger about 3 times - I can see where the echanger rode on the tunnel thru the holes.

Ya got any pics? Mine wore thru the hose. By the time my overheat light came on I had it shut down off the trail n packed the running boards with snow within 90 seconds. I saw no coolant or anything. It must've blown outta there quick. I was in great snow in the UP. This just ain't right.

Well after my insurance company sent back a letter to the dealer stating that the inspection showed a manufacturers defect or malfunction of manufacturer part (A nice twisted lingo as you can imagine) Yamaha wants to have a tech look at it again (Imagine that) and they are moving at the speed of frozen molasses. Is this what ya get for spending roughly $40K with them since 2001?? I need some pics to compare mine to. I'm at the end of my rope with Yamaha and I hate to say it but another brand is looking awfully tempting. What am I supposed to do??? Sit back and take it?? Is there anybody out there that can help me??

Yes, but he is battling with the U.S. company which is way better than Canada.

Yea...stick to your guns and fight the good fight....and be prepared to have good legitamit arguments in your defense. For me, it took a month or so of going back and forth with a dealer (which was useless in my battle) and Yamaha Corp. This was for repairs and labor totalling about $3,000 on my '07 Attak w/ 4,300 miles. If you can, provided documented proof that you are not the only one this has happened to in order to show a possible issue with manufacturing. Talk to the right people, say the right things, on the right day and you just might get it covered. Then again, ya might not. Raise a little hell, that's all. Squeaky wheel gets the grease!!

Good luck with the fight! The other side isn't any better, most of us left to come here for a better product!!!!!

Your way more paticent then I would be. I would fight till the end to hopefully get something you can sell or trade then switch to a brand that has a better dealer that can stand up for you. As few engines as yamaha has to replace they shouldn't be putting up this fight.

I'm with you there are other options now and while some argue they may not be better you have been more then willing to give yamaha a shot to make amends.

The guys that want to switch because of handwarmers dont get my sympathy but you deserve it good luck!
