Yamaha has one qualified racer in Robbie going up against the world of established teams, machines, and racers. They also have the disadvantage of dealing with Japan to get the latest "works" development parts. How many of us actually expected even one win this year???
The boss racing team is setup to run a 3 man team. Also, former Ski-Doo racer steve taylor? has been testing for the team in Canada. (thats from the latest issue of SNO-X mag)
I would love to see Yamaha send Yugi back over the pond - (he does great over in Japan) and hire another QUALIFIED real Pro racer compliment Robbie. MOST semi-pro racers are faster than Yugi!
A 3 man factory team would be great, but next year I wouldn't be suprised if it is just another pro-open only effort. They need more time to fully develop a production racer - expect than in 09. Just my guess.

Maybe the 50 pounds Robbie is talking about fighting against the other guys is whats ON the seat , not under it. He's the only 200# racer out there. Just check the vitals, most guys are around 150-160, Martins only 135.

Looks like Boss Racing will not be with Yamaha next year. Yamaha is trying to sign another big name racer to now replace Boss Racing & Malinoski.

I had to check my calendar to make sure you're not playing an April fools joke. Allen, can you elaborate on what happened with the Boss/Yamaha relationship? I thought that the Boss Team had signed a multi-year deal with Yamaha, but I guess not.
It should make for an interesting upcoming few months of speculation to see who Yamaha is going to have racing for them next season. I sure hope that history doesn't repeat itself and that we don't see a revolving door of drivers racing for Yamaha like we did back in the '90's.
I would like to see Tim Bender running the team. He's proved himself as a team manager the last few seasons, and his son Brett is really coming into his own as a driver.

I agree what gives? I'm not much of a snowcross guy but I have to admit it was fun watching Yamaha/Boss have some success with the program. Robbie is in all the spring issue magazines standing with the Nytro. (then again its not like he has a smile on his face) whaaasssssup?

Sorry I don't know of any specifics of the contract between Boss Racing & Yamaha. It may have been a 1 year gauranteed contract with the option of a 2nd year? I do know Boss Racing has signed with Ski Doo for next season.
The name Hibbert ring any bells? He already rides Yamaha bikes in Supercross!

They are going to have to spend the money to get people to stick around more than one year, or they will never be competetive. I would love to see Kirk and Tucker Hibbert working/ridding for Tim Bender. Maxdlx

Bad news, but not surprised. Winners won't wait long for results!!!
Must not of seen anything changing for the better or much better!
We can only hope for something good!!!
Like someone said back a few post ago. Yamaha should have spent some money & had 3 good riders racing & sent Yugi home to play!
You can not spend a "little" money & get "big" results!!!!
I thought all along it was a half'asss effort again by Yamaha!
You send 1 man testing & everyone else sends 10, will not work in the real world for anything!!!
