Zx2 first ride

Well finally got to go out for a ride today, First thing i want to say is WOW! couldnt beleive how plush the ride is, sitting in shop i couldnt move the suspension down at all, I thought the ZX2 was going to be alot stiffer then it was, another thing is there was no slapping or knocking in the front part of the suspension like the mono, glad thats gone. The transfer was really good pretty close to the mono, have revolver set at 2-3 and the springs at 4. Im probably close to 270lbs fully dressed, Didnt feel any viberation at all, I am running fully cliped track , only put 40 miles on today none of the bolts seem to back off, didnt hit to big of bumps, but big enough that the mono would have bottomed out, u could tell ZX2 wasnt even close to bottoming out, I was for the first time owning this sled looking for big bumps or jumps, should also note this is the 136". One thing I didnt like was the back end sit a little higher than the mono, it felt like sometimes i was sliding to the front of the gas tank, that also could be the armaral, I think this suspension is going to work out all right.

Welcome to the non-metal skid club, you can now enjoy riding the sled and not breaking it. If the skid actually rode worse then the mono but was the same durability it would be worth it. A bonus is it transforms the sled into a performance machine!!!

Enjoy... keep a eye on those bolts and ride it like you stole it. Dare yourself to bottom it out 9 times out of 10 it WONT. Be prepared to stop pussy footing your sled around and actually riding it hard. You'll break other stuff now LOL

Still waiting for snow here in western NY. did you notice any difference in how the sled handled when applying the power in a corner?

I dont think it was any differant than the mono, hard to tell havent ridden in 9 months, but nothing stood out.

I know when installed one in my old Vector, I found the sled to be tippier due to the higher rear end. Once I changed a couple of settings though, it handled much better than stock.

Had mine out just around my field a bit and any amount of throttle at all and I have zero ski pressure. Skid is very stiff but needs broken in I assume... If we ever get snow I might have a chance to dial it in... settings are at 2/4 ...

I didnt find mine to stiff, that could be just my weight. I wonder if alot of guys find them stiff because the so use to the mono being so soft.

In the 2/4 position if you want ski pressure you need to HUG the gas tank in corners. I used to run 2/5 and that was awesome for cornering but I couldn't get no transfer to show off, so moved to 2/4 now and if I lean back skis in the air, if I hug the tank (I have my bars moved forward as much as I can) it will corner with the help of steady gas and tapping the brake. Its all preference. I do think the 2/4 setting takes the big moguls much better then 2/5.

MAN!.... reading this is gonna make me do what ever it takes to get one of these on my sled by next year......times are tough right now and I have to be content with what I got. I'am stuck with the PRO-NOACTION! skid so you all know the rest of the story!I will be calling on you guys for info. For me it's all this sled needs to be perfect.
