Just finished installing zx2. Noticed that the out side edge rubbing old mounting bracket for mono skid. Going to redo track alignment see if that helps. Just checking if anyone had problems with this? Dont really want to remove brackets looks like they reinforce the tunnel some what.

Well was able to realign the track still very tight along side old mounts but in the process striped out the rear axle so have to order a new one. Forgot to mention running a cobra track seems real tight for clearence about 1/8 inch. Thinking of removing stud protectors.

I think this suspension has alot more side to side flex then stock like the mono.. depending on track tightness I think your track could hit the OEM drop brackets. Mine did. Simple solution is to remove them since they are not needed. Before I removed mine there was a clearance from track edge to drop bracket on less than a quater inch and the track rubbed slightly. I could only tell by looking at the rub marks.. otherwise I would have not known.. this will all hold true as long as the track is aligned correctly. For this I measure from wheel by the revolver before ext to rear axle nut and make sure both sides are the same..

Hope that helps

Yes that helps did you move the entire bracket or you just cut off the section that was rubbing? Looks likes these brackets add bracing to the tunnel you notice any flexing in the tunnel?

OEM brackets are not structural or so i been told. I did however just remove them and I have not noticed anything different.

Just removed old mounting brackets makes for alot of side track clearence.
