I spoke to them today. Maybe you'll have better luck than me.This is the response I'm expecting, but I'll give it the good 'ole college try anyway.

Unfortunately, I’ve hit the same brick wall too.
They did tell me that the version AC and Yam are using is an older generation.
They offered to set me up as a new customer if I signed an NDA and provided expected sales volumes so they could quote a prototype piece price and production volume price. I think it’s going to stall out here.

Please help! My first attempt at pinning the canbus connector at the EPS motor failed miserably. Do the pins click when properly installed into this connector? How far do they go inside the connector? Also, what does the blue part do? It doesn't appear to do anything. The 20g pins are no longer available from Mouser, so I ordered the 18g version and folded over the wire before crimping. Crimps seem fine, but the crimp around the insulator doesn't seem to crimp down far enough for the pins to fully seat within the square slot in the connector. I have just ordered another connector (and spare!) but am worried I'll get the same result. Any advice appreciated!
Thanks,
Mark

Pins will click in when installed correctly. Blue part is a lock so the pins wont pull back out but if the pins are not crimped correctly the wire will still pull off. Please help! The new pins you want from mouser is the
35072409
These are currently on back order. This is the life of the EPS.
if you cant get those pins, you will have to get the direct replacement they recommend.

Thanks for the reply. Mouser sent me part # 829-35072392 as a compatible pin, but for18g wire instead of 20g. 20g wire folded over once is approximately 18g diameter, and I was able to crimp the bare wire very nicely, but the canbus cable insulation didn't seem to crimp down enough to be able to cleanly and fully insert the pin into the connector. I'll try again tomorrow when more pins arrive and report back.Pins will click in when installed correctly. Good news, the in stock 18ga pins (829-35072392) do indeed work! My pin re-order came early and I was able to make them fit this time. I found it helpful to remove the grey piece from the connector as well as the blue piece and rubber gasket. Crimp the pins, folding the 20ga canbus wires once to fit, slip the blue piece over all three wires, then the gasket, then work the pins into the slots in the black piece (orienting them how they fit through the blue piece). By removing the grey piece you are more easily able to confirm the pins are fully seated. I needed to carefully press the crimped pins from the backside to fully seat them. Once the three wires are confirmed fully seated you can snap on the grey piece, and slide the gasket and blue piece in place. Hope this helps someone!

Yes that how I do all mine as well. I install all the ends on and then put them through the blue snap back, the green grommet and then snap them in place and then push grommet in and then snap lock.. I also remove the grey piece as you said to make it easier to snap and see.Good news, the in stock 18ga pins (829-35072392) do indeed work!
