Martens, I am no expert on the MCX system and don't have any experience with their kits below 8,000 ft.
Do I think it would make a difference? No, but I guess the guys in Sweden had the hose plumbed there for a reason and they are a lot closer to your elevation than mine.
I would call the...
Correct, the burp is still there. From what Mark and I discussed, there is a lean condition in the MCX map for that rpm range. When I watch my Air/Fuel gauge it runs 11-12 just over idle to the low 4000's, hits 17-18 at 4500 to 4800, then it backfires. Once you get further into boost, the A/F...
That's what I did, I have the open end of the hose tucked down in front of the engine, facing down. I don't think there is any chance of debris getting in there.
A screw and liquid electrical tape are sealing up the hose on the intercooler, but next time I am by the auto parts store I will look...
Mark nailed it, MCX specified in the installation instructions that the hose from the barometric sensor get tied into fitting on top of the inter-cooler.
I'm sure this works fine at sea level, but at higher elevations, this can cause the altimeter to bounce around and as I noticed, surging...
I have been dialing in my new Viper with it's MCX 270 kit. I've been having some interesting issues, figured I'd throw them out here for the forum to chime in on. By the way, I love the new ride!
For preliminary testing, I've been running about 10 lbs of boost, at 9,000-10,000 ft elevation...
I'm very happy with my camo extreme 156x2.5x16. Awesome in powder but not so long that it feels like you are driving a school bus. Works well with or without boost. That track has been around a long time, you should be able to pick one up used in the swap for $3-400.

Interesting question, I too have noticed some odd brake behavior and didn't know what to make of it.
I have a loss of brake pressure only after long steep climbs. Doesn't happen on trails, just after I've been climbing wide open @ 8-12lbs of boost. I turn out (at the top of course) and grab...
Sweet Pics MT.
Where did you guys get the 2 wheel anti stab kit?
I'll be on board too shortly.
I heard a ticking noise on the way back to the truck yesterday. I found the right plastic rail tip was missing and the hiperfax sticking 3 inches past the back. The hiperfax had bent up and was...
I'd keep the suspension preload the same. The stock shocks aren't the best and seemed a little soft so I swapped them out for some floats.
I left the gen 2's centered. You shouldn't need to adjust anything special for them, they will carve and sidehill just fine as is. Enjoy.
One of those buddies would be me, and sledskiing was having boost problems so I don't think those first few rides count!
I've had 1 upper tie rod snapped on an TS A-arm.
3, Count them 3 BBBBNytro lower a-arms. :die
I have given up on the branch buster front end and re-installed the...
Woods, I like it the creativity!
It would be some cool James Bond stuff if you rip the throttle and get the pins to come shooting out. :die
I wouldn't ride too close behind you!!
I don't know what you are referring to, I don't recall any carnage. :moon:
And for the record, I had zero front suspension damages on last 2 doos or stock Nytro.
SDB: The first ride I had the upper ball joint break right at the threads into the upper a-arm.
We found a downed tree across...
I had a good testing day yesterday, The improved prefilter and new screen system worked great and I didn't have any snow or ghosts in the machine. :jump:
On a somber note, it was my second week in a row of broken timbersled front end stuff. Time to get the stock front end back on and call...
It's an 8. Thanks, I just ride and let my buddys stop and take the pics ;)!
The drying out seems to have helped as it's back to normal today (5 days later?).
I went thru the plugs that I could reach and blew them out with air, I didn't see any water come out. Guess I'll just goop them up...
After a deep day of riding, see below, (I rode the sled into the enclosed trailer, brought it home and parked the trailer. 3 days later I entered the trailer to find the red temperature light and the display screen lit. I double checked the key and found it in the off position. I was able to...
I'm up for 1 or 2 trips further west this year, I was planning to hit Logan Utah again, last year was the first time and i had a blast!
I'd like to hit West Yellowstone as well.
Once the dates set. I'll block off some time.
