Tfin, what do you have your rear springs set at? I changed mine to soft and was thinking of removing the anti-bottoming stops all together. But I thought that they may need to be set back at medium with the stops removed.Do you have the transfer set at maximum?
I have talked to a few dealers and have called Yamaha and have gotten the same line that they dont know of any fix. When I said that people have already had the fix installed they have told me that you can't always believe what people are saying online. So if anyone has a part # or if anyone from...
I did mine for under 30 bucks. You do not remove the battery on the Vector you just remove the side panel and the belly pan and the two drain plugs are right in front of you.The manual walks you right through it step by step. It was very easy. The 03 + 04 RX1's had to remove the battery if the...
I have also talked to two dealers in my area and they both said that they didnt know anything about a clutch fix.So I called Yamaha for the second time and got the same BS that they were aware of the problem but were not issueing a bulletin for it at this time. I was going to wait till the end...

I called Yamaha today they told me that as of now there was no update for the noise but that they would document my calling and that if they started to see a problem they would take care of it. So if you guys want this fixed than start calling it only took a couple of minutes and now they have...

I have heard that Yamaha has issued an update for the problem and dealers are shimming the clutch under warranty.Does anyone know if this is true? I know they say it is harmless but I think that it "cheapens" an other wise great machine.
I just picked up my Liquid Silver Vector ER about a week ago . When I got it home and really started checking it over I noticed that when the motor was running there is a knocking/rattle noise coming from the motor or clutch. If I had to guess I would say the clutch. Are you guys hearing the...
