I covered both of mine after the second time I rode it. I ran it two seasons without an issue. It takes longer to get the seat off that to cover it. I was very happy after I did it. I say go for it.

Not really I got good money out of it which kinda suprised me but the dealer I traded with had no used sleds in so maybe that was a factor.
As for riding it like a wheeler I did that. I had to work myself to death to just keep it on the trail. I'm sure something was wrong with the sled because...
I'm not ashing it at all. I loved it in rough trail. I simply could not make it handle in a sake manner I can handle the tippy part I can habdle it on a rough trail/ditchbanging it was the death dart that I found to be the problem.
I loved 99.9 percent of the sled and I worked it over with all...
well I'm back from My trip north, couple of things to report.
1.Meyer ent in Ishpenming is on of the nicest coolest dealers I have ever met He took care of me and my group like we were long time customers.
2. SMB's pipe was sweet had a much better sound than before.
3. SMB's clutch kit is...
Chris has you send in your secondary and does some machine work. I'm in the UP with mine now and I can tell you it flat #*$&@ works!!!! I like it better than the Ulmer I had the holeshot is the same but The SMB has what I want to call more throttle flash It comes back on a lot faster. The pipe...
I have the pics. It got flattened. I was smart enought to insure it and at work we ship alot thru them so I got the problem resovled pretty quick. We have had a lot of this going on at least here local with them there hiring pool must be drying up.
I have both the SMB and an ulmer. I have to say after instaling the SMB I like it better a whole lot better. It comes out of the hole just like the Ulmer but it seems to me to for lack of a better word. recover faster at speed than the Ulmer. Bot hare a drastic improvment over stock.
Just a quick update. I got my new SMB pipe and clutch on today. I had an Ulmer in it which I loved. But I have to say SMBs clutch kit comes on harder that the ulmer.I had one of the proto pre production pipes which I will tell you was too loud and sound like a tractor. I had told chris this and...
I may have gotten that wrong. But I know the GT has a higher gearing in the chaincase. Im sure that it's 21 tooth. but I'm betting somebody on here can set me straight on the gearing.

It really opened up the low end grunt of this sled. I havebt tried the clutch kit yet as I had an ulmer last year. I have the GT so I have the 21 tooth sprocket up top. When you get these sleds to breathe they really run. I have not gotten the fule regulator as I'm not sure you really need it...
I have one of chris's early pipes. it was a bit loud so I sent in back and he rebuilt it into the new style for me. and I got his clutch kit and had the secondary cut back. I havent got it all installed yet but I can tell you his pipe wakes up my GT. And I have to say he is one of the most down...
I have one of chris's pipes. it woke my Phazer up big time. I found it to bee a little loud but it's a an early prototype so he is gonna rework it for me.
I used an Ulmer kit for my clutch and It works great!
I am looking into upping the HP on my little Phazer this fall.
From all I have seen the MPI kit is the best and most straight forward way to do it.
Does anyone here run one? And if you do what issues or problems do you have?
The real pluses I see for it are Zero lag for one, and it seems...
I have a GT and have not broke the link.....yet.
Got a click under 400 on it.
Yamaha is sending me the fan kit and I smoked a ser of hifax in 200 miles but other wise I'm pretty happy till I get on the wide open streches. then I'm way underpowered.

I got a SMB pipe and a Ulmer clutch kit really put the low end to this thing. Has a sweet sound to it. not too loud but barks enought to let you know it's not stock.

I agree with Pro116, Once you start treating this sled like a quad it gets wicked in the tight stuff. The biggest problem I have is remembering that it AIN'T a quad and to scale back the rough stuff and the Jimmy Blaze/Evel Kenivel/retarded redneck super jump stuff like I did when I was a...
I got mine from SMB on E-bay they went in about ten mins. It was not a hard thing to do. they come up and guard the heat exchanger pretty good as well.

I wrapped my SMB pipe. mostly to keep the heat off the plastic but after 200 miles on this weekend I checked the plastic and it was always cool.
