LOL it happened at rails-trails sunday about 8 at night. I was there since 11 am. The sled should be back on the trail by the first of the year. Hope to see you out there.

I'm not going to even bother trying. Since I'm not going through insurance to fix it, I'm just going to keep all my paperwork for the '09 update. If Yamaha ever does it under recall I'll just look to get my $ back for the subframe. If not, I still have a sled I love.

yea I had looked at them, I'm thinking I spent enough money this season already though. I'm going to wait for the new ski's and seat cover till next year, or when I hit the loto (any time now).

Thanks, I didn't know. Well they are already ordered so I'll have spares. But that helps since I didn't order bushings. Just found out this will all be out of pocket. Looks like I'll have this sled for a long time.

just ordered everything to fix the damage, and update it to a '09 frontend. -4 a-arms -subframe -ski mounts -upper ball joints (mine were cut down) -gytr front grab bumper -new windsheild -missing emblem -black handguards $2300.00 !!!!! #$%&* I will be painting the a-arms black...

I just went through a wood fence and hit a tree. My a-arms are bent back into the plastic, but the funny thing is the sub-frame doesn't look bad. I will be replacing it no matter what now though. Anyone know how much a '09 update will run me?

from how it's built, I'd say it's stronger than the stock. The stocker is really thin!

I got between 95 and 115 miles to a tank of gas. I was ridding with 600 Doo's most the time. By next year I'll have a trail tank, since everyone else had more miles to go when my low gas came on.

Thanks for all the info! But anyone know how far I can go? I pulled the bars off and did a measurement of 2" before the cables seemed tight. Swapped jobs so I'm low on cash this year, figured I'd just try to make it better. Next year I want it perfect.

How tall of a bar riser can you go with the stock cables? I'm 6'9" so when I stand up I need to keep my legs bent alot to feel comfortable right now. Start to get sore after 150 miles. What risers does everyone like best?

My friend said that on his Bruteforce board everyone was doing it with good results. I figured I'd see if anyone tried. I posted this some time ago, now can't remember the reason everyone removed it. LOL. Mines still in.
