I have an 2008 Nytro RTX that rattles rather loud at lower rpms. It appears to go away at full throttle, although Im not sure if its just masked by the louder sound of the motor. The sled has 5000 miles. I replaced the exhaust donuts and still have this noise. There are no performance...
I have a 2008 nitro that I currently run pilot skis. I have heard a lot of good things about the Split rail skis. When I was at my dealer he highly recommended the turner skis. What is the best option, and would I see an advantage over the pilots?
I have been making modifications to my 2008 FX Nytro RTX for the last 4 years and finally have it set up perfect. Much of the way I judge this is if I can ride as fast (or faster) on trails than my two buddies with revs (2005 skidoo adrediline and 2009x) I also have a 2003 Rev MDX sport. I...
Thanks. The entire story is that my sled sunk last year. I changed the oil about 15 times and the fault code came up for oil pressure. The sensor was filled with ice when I removed it
There seems to be tons of oil pumping out of the hose and I drove the sled for a couple hundred miles...
I had a fault code flashing last season for the oil pressure. I replaced the pressure sensor and the code continues to flash. Is there a reset or should the code go away after the problem is fixed?
It seems to be the oil pressure sensor. I unplugged the sensor under the sled by the oil filter. It would allow it to run without shutting down. I pulled the sensor out and cranked over the engine. Oil shot out fairly strong so I am thinking it's the sensor. Rode the sled 150 miles and it...
My 2008 nytro shuts down after about 15 seconds. There is no fault lights coming on until after it shuts down. Then the yello light and engine light is on. I unplugged all the connectors (one by one) until the sled would would run to get me home. I figured it was a temperature sensor or...
I sunk my sled in the bottom of the lake a few weeks ago. I drained oils ect. and sled runs ok. THe only problem is that the headlights and tail lights go off intermittently. Usually when I first start the sled, I have to run it for a mile or so before they go on. ALso I put HID lights in...
i just picked up some gytr shocks for my 08 nytro. i loosened the springs quite a bit to reduce the bumper height but it still seems tippy. It is set at about 18 inches from the top of the bumper to the ground. When i had the fox floats on, the a arms were about parallel to the ground. the...
The only reason I bought them is that i picked them up with some other parts(a-arms and steering compoents) for 30$ i figured i would try them. the floats are too stiff for me even though i put on the extra resevoir by nextec. I have been trying to pick up inexpensive gytr shocks but havent...
I purchased a set of nytro mountain front shocks off ebay very cheap. I was goint to try them on my 2008 FX nytro RTX rather than the floats. anyone try this set up?
I used the pilot 5.7 skis and bought them off eBay for about 120. Slydog rubbers are a perfect fit and cost about 20. The pilot 5.7 are great for trail riding but not sure about powder. I have little to no darting and very easy steering much better than stock.

The pilot 5.7 are great for easy steering , no darting and control. Thy do push or slide a little in the corners but in my opinion you need a less agressive ski for the nytro (like the pilots). I also ride in north illinois lower Wisconsin (Antioch)

tried out sled yesterday with new pilot skis. These are a hugh improvement. the steering is so much easier and there is no darting that I could detect. There is a little bit of push in the corners but its predictible.
