hmmm. i rode last year with myself, my wife and son on the venture rs for a about 1500 miles when my rx took a crapper on me and didn't have any bottoming issues. love the ride of that machine- soooo smoooooooth.
i have about 3k on the 05 rx, could've been a lot more but my sus. crapped out in feb. for good. just got'er back last week. have a little over 3500 on the wifes venture rs and probably 1/2 are from after my sled died
I guess it depends on what you plan on doing and how much power you feel you need from the kit. i just put on a boondocker kit and feel it was really easy to install and dial in, and like the fact it'll keep compensate for lowering bottle pressure. I put the filters and n2o on in about 2 1/2...
yup. i used a set of standard outside the ear head phones and velcroed them in my helmet. load a mp3 player and ride on. mine is 2 yrs. old and still holds about 100 songs, so i'm sure the new ones hold well over 200. never thought about sat. radio, do they get good enough reception in the woods?
i let the dealer do mine for what the suspension bushings were wiped out and the w arm was busted at the welds. they are putting grease fittings in the same location as the 06's
farmers is full of crap. they've predicted lots of snow for as long as i can remember. i think it was 2 yrs ago toro had that no snow no pay for their snow blowers and aalmost ended up eating it. trust me to the fact i want lots of snow, but i don't believe the weatherman till it's falling from...
DO AS TURK SAID. a little more weight on the PRIMARY weights. shouldn't take much to drop 400 rpm. when doing so the primary will grab the belt tighter and lower rpm. playing with the secondary spring and ramp angles will change shift characteristics (upshift/ backshift)
I truely don't know if yamaha covered it or the dealer ate it. Figure i bought three new machines last year and quite a few from them in the past, so they might have been doing it to keep me happy. the dealer has been great to me with any issues i've had lately and in the past.
no offense taken but what you have to realize is that the pic was taken in 2 1/2 or more feet of snow and that was a one day affair. 99% of my milage is done with the wife and kid so you answer is no i don't beat the piss out of the sled truely.
