Ive spent two years trying to accomplish a softer spring for my LE...after exhaustive research by myself ...and country cat/cat themselves...I always felt it was over sprung for most south of 265 lbs...
I determined that the torsion spring we got is the optional light weight spring...
while at the michigan show ...saw a really cool and inexpensive product....for guys who are wanting an improvement in shock / spring performance...from forum advertiser BITEHARDER ...their POLYTUNE RINGS caught my eye...20 bucks each and essentially turn a spring in to a tunable PROGESSIVE...
yes a hydrophobic prefilter over the cage is a good idea and should work...for that matter Ive thought of just running over the intake runner tube to free up air to the clutches!
the dash flash is awesome....question...if at anytime the ecu was flashed back to stock does the dash flash go back as well...in and out of the flasher in other words?
pretty much my sentiments ...however I believe belts and power go hand in hand....back her down some and you can get decent miles on the belt no issue..if i can get 1000 miles a trail belt at reasonable (crazy compared to a N/A sled) power , Im good....but yes ....ski-doo is head and shoulders...
if you weigh 280 ....you will need a stiffer center spring as you are blowing through the spring and creating ski pressure...this is the first place to start...hit up cannondale on here as he might have or can point you..
a reasonable charge labor only with no trades of or surrendering track is $400 on these machines...for sure they're not like a 2 stroke which would be $250-300
wanted to bring this back around....my buddy anthony is getting an srx and wanted to let anyone getting a 19' the hayes mounts WILL NOT work....19's will require a different mount.....a new mount is coming out any day now....
