Just thought I would post up a pic of my exhaust setup. I know some states and provinces like to hand out tickets if the exhaust is aftermarket regardless of sound levels. I have never been harassed with my previous turbo cats...but when I changed this one out I figured I would go the extra step just in case. This is a Sandale 3" Hyperflow exhaust. I removed the heat shield from the stock exhaust, modified it slightly, and reinstalled over the hyperflow. I then put the turbo heat shield back in place. To the untrained eye I would say it looks box stock. I took it out for the first time today just to see what it sounds like. It is definitely louder than stock (which is whisper quiet) but it is no where near obnoxious. It's a very deep tone, and sounds great.

Hi saber,i was watching you over on HCS and was waiting for you to post over here,is there some way you can attach a vid of you running the sled so we can hear it,and I don't mean just idling, but maybe a driveby and someone shoot the vid? I am interested in that same set up,but just don't know how much more annoying it will be vrs the magnum ofEVO? Thanks beast

Oh ya,saber,is this your first mod can on this sidewinder, compared to stock pipe? I understand you now have it tuned so the pipe wil be ok,so it must be really snappy and nice mid to top end??

Only flashed sled and installed exhaust yesterday. Will be riding all weekend. I'll try and get a buddy to film sled so you can hear it. But probably won't be able post it till after the weekend.

Td superquiet

Quick question: Did your TD Superquiet include a bracket to bolt up the heat shield? It looks like you were able to bolt the heat shield back on but from what I've found online (and please correct me if I'm wrong here) the only aftermarket mufflers with the bracket are Precision EFI and Hurricane. Not a huge thing but suspicious if checked and those two holes don't have bolts in them and my OCD would get the better of me on this one. Thanks in advance! Exhausted from exhaust shopping...

my guess is you would have to trim the backside of the oem heat shields slightly...

I welded the brackets from the stock muffler to the new one. So the shield would fit just like it did from the factory

Well done! If I go with the TD Super Quiet, I'll be doing the same! Cheers.

Be warned that putting the stock shield and the insulation mat together keeps too much heat and muffler life is reduced quite a bit.

Best is to just install the shield no insulation.

The shields fit over our TD surperquiet exhaust

and the viney fab 3 inch tru muffler we sell. The viney fab is made for us and looks like our super quiet but 3 inch.

Thanks TD!

Do you have sound clips comparing the 2.5" vs 3"? I'm assuming 3" a little deeper sound, somewhere between your SQ and TF?

Does the 3" flow that much better? What's the biggest difference? More power, quicker spool/better response, better sound?
