Hey mike thanks for the reply and the cad file. Your comments all seem valid, I just figured if I was to build a tube frame sled why not build it "the best" it can be. I currently have a cat float skid in my nytro. I like the weight savings but it doesnt seem to transfer near as good as the...
They are just under 20. Prob 18 or 19 by the looks of it.
Wife's sled is a 08 Nytro stretched to 141" x 2" and it trenches like crazy. In deep powder mine will crawl away hers just digs till its stuck. Approach angle about 26*
I ran them empty with the black spring and I think it was still a little heavy. Maybe the red spring would be a bit higher rate at lower track speeds and bring the Rpm's up?
I have been playing around in cad. I think that my nytro with my cat skid has a approach angle of about 18* using 7 tooth drivers. using a 9 tooth (assuming the track fits) brings it to about 15*. If the driver is moved down about 2" a 7 tooth makes it 13* a 9 tooth brings it to 10*. in the pic...
My extros have about 4500 miles on them and are pretty wore off. They are almost like a pointed triangle and they still vibrate. So I don't know if grinding the tip off would do anything.
My track maybe has 1" of sag when lifted off the ground. I have never measured it. If it don't ratchet...
I was looking at the front susp of my cousins new assault and noticed it looks extremely similar to my buddys iq. When comparing the two sleds side by side the a arm mounting points are identical the driveshaft loks to be in the same location and the tunnell and rear susp seem similar as well...
Thanks for the info. It will be quite the challange to get the 9" centers figured out and then still have to get the motor positioned square and in the correct spot to get the clutch center to center proper as well.
How will you go about getting the drive line measurments all correct? Install...
I was thinking of just getting pullys from here

Hae them splined for whatever shaft you want.
I think the powerhouse sleds use the apex chaincase. It looks as if they just dropped it down a bit and run the jackshaft through the...
Sounds like a sweet setup. Is there any noticeable lag when playing around in the powder or trees? What rpm does it spool at? I know I asked before but I would love to see a pic of the intercooler and manifold routing.
I was just using the pro geometry because that's what I have to model off of. 90% of my riding is just fields and ditchbanks. I go out to the mountains every second year. Perfect handling isn't extremely important as a 156" isn't going to ride like its on rails anyway.
I wonder how hard it...
Some good info in this thread.
If you look at the powerhouse customs sleds really close, they use the pro geometry but the tie rods are mounted about 1/2" higher on the spindles. This is because they also mounted the tie rods directly to the steering post in the Center of the sled. I wonder...
