Alright I drilled out the regular pop rivets that I had used that were just a bit too long and put in some new multi-grip rivets. The rivet rubbing problem is now gone. However I can see that under higher stress situations the suspension is flexing all the way over allowing the track to rub...
OK you were right Nikolai... I finally got stopped while the track was doing this and parked it leaning on a snowbank. There is a LOT of flex in these suspensions, probably 1/2" worth both ways... I had to use some regular pop rivets to fill a few holes as I ran out of the provided cherry-lock...
Also I maybe should mention that I have the tunnel support plates (frame doublers) mounted on the inside of the tunnel (took off plate thickness at the cross shaft spacers.
The track rubbing rivets makes good sense too. I've looked for signs that it's rubbing some rivets in the side and I can't see anything obvious... but now that I think of it that makes more sense than the idler wheel theory I had. I'm running a 121x15x1 six pitch predator with 144 1.075" gold...
Hey guys. I've got this posted over on the 2 stroke side, but I think there's a lot more 4 strokers running the Expert than 2's... Doesn't seem like it's a common problem but just wondering if anybody's had this same issue.
Anyway, the expert is installed in a 2000 SRX 700. The skid rides...
I voted for 120 - 145 hp because I have both a 2004 RX Warrior and a 2000 SRX 700 and I'm more than happy with the power. Anything that goes 200 + km/h on a long straight has enough juice for me! I would love to try something a little higher on the lake, LIKE A TURBO but for now, I'm happy...
Reasonable??? That's a sweet deal! The same sleds are going for 3,500 to 4,500 here in ontario and none of them are really low mileage. I would pick it up in a heartbeat for that price... in fact, tell me where it is so I can go take it before you get to it!!! lol (seriously though... i'd take...
The first thing you could do is check and make sure all the airbox boots are seated on the carbs properly. After tumbling dads 04 warrior last year i had the same problem, thought I damaged a few parts, beleive it or not, the difference between 1000 rpm and 20km/hour was that ONE of the carb...
Well the dummy light came on at 180km (112 miles) We then rode to 200 km and bummed an extra 5 litres (1.5 US gal) and ran that for the extra 40 km (25miles) We then made it to the gas station and he took 34 litres (9 US gallons) so at the 240 km mark he used approximately 39 litres or 10.2 us...
Well the trail conditions were very good. There was a long stretch of some low speed riding but quickly straightened out on some good flat and straight trails. We weren't riding very aggressive OR breaking trail at all... so I was a little puzzled. I will try the sea-foam and see if that...
It took 3 feet of fresh powder for me to get my dads 04 rx warrior stuck! And beleive me I was STUCK... took three people to get it out. The back of the seat was lower than the bottom of the ski.
Just got back from a 240 km ride on my SRX and dad with his 2004 RX warrior. Dad ran out of gas about 200 km's on the ride and this was from a full tank. This doesn't seem right from last year if I remember right. It has also started to use a bit of oil. I know sea-foam is some good stuff to...
The choke cable won't need lengthened, just the trottle and brake cable and maybe the oil pump cable? You may have enough adjustment in the oil pump, but i can't tell you 100%. It's not a lot of work really. Should only take you about an hour to replace the cables or add extensions. Pretty...
When's it come on the TV? Channel? I wanna watch and tape this. I told my buddy's that and they said no way.... yamaha sucks LOL! I just love bugging my friends and this will give me another one to rub in their face!
I wouldn't be surprised if they put a power steering system in a sled. They have it on the new ATV'S!!
Wonder how long it would take to get used to power steering on a snowmobile? I have the feeling that the 130 HP phazer would be the RS motor stepped up with EFI as it doesn't quite make...
