Any luck on warranty for worn driveshaft?

Mine was fully warranties. The shaft assembly, both bearings, caliper and rotor and pads. Didn’t pay a dime for labor

    Yamaha Venture thoughts....

I think the '07 is carburated. Not sure what year they went to fuel injection but I wouldn't buy anything that isn't fuel injected.

    Thoughts on my Driveshaft pls

Good luck with getting them to weld the tensioner screws. Mine dealer wouldn’t do that. I heard somewhere that Yamaha actually has a new tensioner and that Thunder Products also has one. Have not confirmed that. Since the dealer replaced my shaft and bearings I’ll run without welded screws until...

New to me Sidewinder and Apex questions

Pretty much ditto what geez177 says. Aside from driveshaft issue it’s been all good. Never blew a belt that goes for me and two other buds. I agree with Joe also...it’s all how you ride it.

New to me Sidewinder and Apex questions

Clutch parts were to help with potential belt blowing and it pulls a little harder. I went with Thunder Products stuff. Email the site administrator for service manual. Honestly find a post on here from "RockerDan" and he has a link in the bottom of his messages for his sled build...

New to me Sidewinder and Apex questions

You can get the manual by becoming a VIP member. Alot of guys have switched to another Helix and spring, self included. Many seem to like to play with the "rollover valve issue" but myself and three others have not had any issues. The most common issue I think is the driveshaft. Lot of guys...

Barn of Parts Driveshaft Saver....Bearing Lock

Agree. I just got mine back last Saturday with new shaft and bearings etc. You would think Yamaha would step up and address this issue with the number of failures occurring on $15,000 sleds. I'm interested to see where we are in two/three years with the folks that dimpled the shaft and used...

Barn of Parts Driveshaft Saver....Bearing Lock

Yup I found that video online about the heat gun trick after we did that inner case removal. That's the way to do it for sure going forward. One question I had was in the video I saw he had put the new bearing in the freezer I think before he went to put it in the inner case. Is that...
