Heading into my local Yamaha Dealer shortly. Looking at a '17 Sidewinder LTX 137. Machine has just over 12000 kms (not miles) on it, asking price is just over $10,000.

I know the dealer and dont feel like they'll hose me, but at that mileage are their any known issues I oughta be asking about?

I've heard about some issues with the coolant boiling over on these rigs, anyone have that happen?

Thanks in advance

All depends on what kind of maintenance & fixes have been done to the sled.
The over-heating was usually when new.
After break in, i've NEVER over-heated.

Do some searches on this site:
1. top gear & chain tensioner in chain case
2. brake bearing & how to lock it on shaft
3. clutch rollers on Primary & secondary

Get a big pot of coffee & spend the night on TY. Don't worry about everything you read or hear, just look into some things to see if they apply to you.
Keep the door open so your wife doesn't think you're addicted to porn.....................unless she's into that...................then spend LESS time on TY! LOL

BTW
Get an Avatar or pic so we can see what kind of dude you are.
I've got a snowmobile stuck in my head which explains my addiction.
If you're ugly, you can put a pic of your dog. We like dogs here. Hot chicks gets more people interested in your posts also

Here's an example of what Steve is talking about :)

I like this guy!

Simple things needed to be my friend:
1. sense of humor
2. understanding that this is an Arctic Cat with a Yamaha motor
3. love of dogs
4. Hellman's mayonnaise
(Hellmans is Best Foods, West of the Rockies. I never got a good reason why! And can't believe everything on the internet, like Best Foods buying Hellman's in 1932. Just like those Arctic Cat screws holding the chain tension roller loosen. Ha! Well, ok, maybe...lol)

We have fun here, but these are serious hardcore snowmobilers.
Some wear Blue Blinder Goggles, but most know our limitations & try to fix them.
THAT's why we're here and THAT's why you MrNoPic NuGuy are on this site.

Wait a second! Is this your first sled? Or your first Yamaha?
