    Ns1 gauges

I love my NS1 on my 1100. Not sure about using it on my 22' Tcat. I put the cat based Garmin on the sled and it worked great. I do miss the big screen.

    Real world wet weights

Would love to see the 800 cat weighed as well. Looks like the old heavy pro cross is not bad.

    Pennzoil ultra platinum (Amazon)

I started using Amsoil in the late 1970's and have never been disappointed.

    2025 Yamaha Snowmobile Speculation

I suspect they will go out with a whimper not with a bang. They will use up the parts bins, perhaps create a "final edition" with some cool decals and say "sayonara".

After 15 months finally got a motor

You are correct abotu the slant 6. I did however blow up a slant six in my ancient Plymouth Valiant. I set it up for a burn out contest (circa 1978). I took the rear shocks out and installed chucks of 4x4 to stiffen the rear end. Installed a bald tire and plugged off the rear brake line so it...

    Yamaha done with sleds

Acat has always chased the "world's fastest sled" category since the 1970's. Most of the time since then, they can make that claim. When the triple triples were done after the 2002 season many thought the world was coming to an end. I kept my old 200 hp two stroke Tcat until I bought my 2014...

    Yamaha done with sleds

Yes, those are from the 1970's except for Suzuki which supplied engines to Acat until 2017 when Yamaha supplied the 998.

    Yamaha done with sleds

Yamaha supplied engines for Snow Jet, Roloflex and few others back in the day. Point being, they were an engine supplier almost from day one in the sled business. So was Kawasaki and Suzuki. Only Honda stayed out of the fray. Yamaha will continue to supply engines where it can especially where...

    Yamaha done with sleds

Too bad, hate to see Yamaha go. I wonder if there will be a 2025 Thundercat? The 2024 could be it for the Tcat with a Yamaha engine.

    Studding weights

Nice work and thanks for sharing this. I did a similar exercise back in the 1990's with a goal of using maximum penetration with the least amount of rotating mass for our Thundercats. We did the excercise for drag racing purposes. We ran a speed track with light pics. For historical purposes...

    sled weights

Yup, in addition to the accessories, when the young guys start beating up the sleds on rough trails, the can bend and break them. Durability is always an issue when lightweight and horsepower get put together. The old Acat Firecats had this problem. They were fast but guys would bring them to...

    Dragy Advice

I am thinking of using this device next winter for clutch tuning. I am looking for some info from some users: # 1 - How does like the cold and snow? Any issues with cold and snowy days? # 2 - Where/how have you mounted it? The magnetic strip that I see used online in a car does not look useful...

    Hyfax change

I have always painted a little never-cease on the inside where it rides the curve. Nice job on the relief cuts.

    sled weights

Hopefully next time they do this they will have a few Arctic Cats in the mix. Would love to see the new chassis full with gas hanging from the scale.

Loose rivets under gas tank by exhaust???

I would use these as replacements. These are aerospace/military spec and are easily obtainable. I used have used these in the past and found them to be sturdy replacements for the cheap rivets found on sleds.

stage 6 vs mod stock vs big turbo

It is hard to quantify the best back for the buck since everyone has a different value system and different expectations for their sled. All the RR suspension upgrades are good, the shaft saver and chain case up grades are good. These harden weak points that can fail when stock let alone...
