Guess What....They Are Listening & Doing Something!!!

Too little too late! Too slow to respond to the problems as far as I'm concerned. It took too many years for Yamaha to respond to the glaring problems they had with wearing out skids, antique style ski's, just to name a couple. Sure I'm happy they have changed a few things like having anti...

Extremely Epic late summer sleding in Whistler!!!

Love that pick of you in the air out front of the cabin! Man that looks like what only dreams are made of. Thanks for sharing. I loved those photo's. That clear water made me thirsty. I love it!

    Track selection

difference between a 136 and a 121" Really your not going to notice much difference going from 121" to 136" in the corners. I have a 144" nitro and I'm sure the tipped up rails don't account for a whole lot helping in the corners. You just have to muscle it around corners. If your not an...

    APEX XTX OFFICIAL!

New Yamaha Yes I was very dissapointed. Looks like Yamaha engineers are loosing sight of what the public wants. The thing doesn't look any lighter. I love my XtX as well. Loved the Apex as well but it was more of a tank on tight trails but handled way better in icy conditions. If they want...

    Avid drivers after 6900 km.

Stud length. That length stud is for the 1.25" track. He will have no problems. I have the 1.5" track with 1.75" studs and there is no proble. Tunnel protectors stay in to protect the tunnel. All sleds are made to put studs in without having any problems. You mey need to put tunnel...

    XTX suspension set up's

I dialed the shock out back to full hard and the fronts I set the dials in the middle with the preload a little slack. In fresh snow you'll love the sled or on a freshly groomed trail. Doesn't feel as good on ice. Fuel consumption is very good.

    Avid drivers after 6900 km.

Here are a set of Avid drivers after 6900 kms. They were in pretty good shape over all. The melted plastic that was actually plucking off the track clips from my slides. I'm putting on a new set of Avids and getting the track re clipped and studded.

Can BRP boggies fit right on the Yamaha skid?

I read last year that the BRP boggies are part of the answer to the Hyfax wearing issues. My OEM boggies don't even touch the track with new slides installed. I can't stand a new set of slides wearing out in 50 miles then getting another 1500 miles on the last 5% of plastic. Doesn't make...

    Exhaust mbrp/sno stuff ?

I remember feeling how 2 strokes seemed to wake up on - 20 days compared to 5 above. I suppose 3 HP might feel like that. Maybe I will get a hedder pipe to go with my MBRP pipe for this year. New clutch springs, weights, and buttons would probably be a good idea. I have new Avid drivers and...

    Hyfax wear / Extroverts ??

It is certinally an issue with the XTX. Extrovert drivers will do nothing to eliminate excessive hyfax wear on the XTX nytro. It is partially a problem with the diameter of the boggie wheels and additional wheels needed being added. Extrovert drivers eventually will only melt along with the...

    Exhaust mbrp/sno stuff ?

Is it possible to put a pipe on and actually feel a difference? Unless you have something to measure it with IE; a dyno or another stock sled to race against before and after? I have the MBRP. Like the sound. Liked the price. Liked the look after installation.

    2009 vs. 2010 Drivers

I thought the same thing. The tracks are actually designed for a set up a bit different than the Avid's. Avids were designed afterwards to fix a problem. If the track is not tight only the extrovert part of the driver is working. This might tear out the windows on turbo applications. I ran...

    2009 vs. 2010 Drivers

Avid drivers are made tough. I had no spinning on the jack shaft issues and I can't imagine anyone else ever having any either. Make sure you measure everything over and over...LoL and mark the axle where you want the drivers placed. Magic marker can wipe off so maybe a hack saw scratch is...

    Driver wear

Anti ratchet drivers. For Yamaha's anti ratchet drivers are a must in my eyes if your agressive at all. The slides wear out so fast at first because the boggie wheels are too small that your tightening the track all day long on trail. Then even with a fully clipped track the drivers will...

    Driver wear

I've never had any problems with drivers spinning on axles. I've had stock drivers spin called ratcheting from loose tracks. My track on a Yamaha always seems to be loose with stock drivers. For the Avids they melt at the same temperature as your slides. So when your slides heat up and start...

Front End nose dive on 2009 XTX

mjaremko When I'm out on icy conditions off trail. Especially on crusty snow when I'm breaking through. I find my XTX wants to dip on one side or the other. This twitchy tendancy is excentuated with agressive carbides. It's like tracking on a frozen trail but much worse. I found on any...

    Summer Modifications

I'd like to put in 8" rear wheels and 8 tooth front anti ratchet drivers. I'll have to figuer out the correct pitch and get the right track. I think it will all fit underneath without heat exchanger problems... Get some larger boggie wheels and get those inner low snow wheels. Like to do...
