None of them have power with the sled off. would have to put hood back on to start sled but then you cant get to fuses. Bad location for the fuse block, or maybe by design? Just looked again and there are 4 plugs there not used.
Yea I got the same thing on my wife's DX. Checked the sleds on the showroom floor and they Re the same. Dealer said they did it to save weight...... I've been trying to find a part number for it to order another for the right side but the diagrams don't show the thumb wheel. Is it new for the...
OK we just picked up my wifes new 15' Viper LTX-dx. The specs on the Yamaha web site say its a single ply track. Looking at it, it looks like a regular double ply and the dealer also said its a double ply. Any thoughts? Are the LTX's coming with double ply or did they change it for 15?
I guess it may depend on the dealer. My dealer said that Yamaha went through GE capital finance but maybe the dealer can choose? Got me. I just put this out there to make sure other people checked their paperwork before signing. I doubt I would have noticed anything changed if my dealer...
Yea I did all that, put down the $500 non-refundable deposit, picked the sled with all the options, pre-approved yada yada yada. That's why its just so wrong.
I ended up going through a local credit union through the dealer which is fine, plus the discounts on all the accessories. I just think its wrong for Yamaha tro get you in there and approve you with something then 6 months later decide to change it. Bad form Peter.
Yea, not happy about it. Thought Yamaha would do something about it but they never did a thing. What's the point of doing a spring order if they aren't going to honor it? Just thought other people may want to double check their rates before they sign for the sled.
My wife's new sled arrived last week, wooo hooo. 2015 Viper LTX-DX in Black Went to the dealership to pick it up and the dealer tells me they changed the interest rate on the loan. huh? They upped the interest rate by 5% witch would have added about $1200 to the life of the loan. That's...
Its easy enough to check. Remove the compressor side tubing that goes to the intake and see if its clean. There should be absolutely nothing in there, no oil, no dirt no nothing. If there is any oil residue in there its not good.
OK, stupid question but never really touched it before. I sent in my shock for rebuild, revalve and new spring. I have the suspension out and noticed the control rod seems to slide freely and have no resistance. Is this correct? what exactly is the purpose of the control rod? Just want to...
OK Just my opinion here. I have an 07 Apex GT. Went to a test day and rode a GSX 1200 and a GSX 900 Ace, then drove a Viper LTX-DX and an Apex SE. I'm 6' about 250ish. The Apex would be my first choice, then the Viper a close 2nd. I thought the Yamaha's actually were much easier to ride...
AC has an auxiliary tank that goes on the back and is plumbed directly to the main tank. Holds another 5 gallons. So if you don't care about the extra weight that extra gas may help out. :sled1:
My wife tested both the vector and the Viper back to back and liked the viper a lot better. She really liked the seating position of the viper and the steering effort. She thought they both had power steering. The ride was much better on the viper she thought. We had no plans on getting a...
