I am debating buying an enclosed trailer. Would be for hauling sleds, atvs, and an old (long and tall) car. Door opening needs to be at least 76" tall so that puts me with a couple different Triton trailers, either a Vault 8ft wide (with 7ft sides) or Lowboy. I have almost ruled out the Lowboy...
I ordered a set of those for my sled and they rub? They hit as soon as you tighten them down, and get worse as the shock compresses. Wondering if I got a bad set?
Same setup, clutches were thoroughly cleaned when the clutch components were installed.
Couldnt get the 8DN up high enough in the secondary. Ill try another one once this 8JP wears out. After the season is over I think Ill send my clutches to Ulmer for some machining.
I would have to second this, know a guy who has a stage 1 MPI turbo and spent alot of time and money on Haucks setups and was never happy. Sent his stuff to Schmidt Brothers and is extremely happy now.
He's not... I think it would be wise for anyone to ride the sled stock before spending money they might not need to. I rode my sled 700 miles before adding anything to it. Some of the things that I have read about on here I see no need for, some I do. Every rider and riding style is different.
Pictures would be nice... Also what model sled? The XTX that I have would require trimming of the mountain strap and even then I'm not sure they would fit.
Did some more work on the sled this weekend.
Replaced the stock riser with this 8" riser.
The "deluxe" Yamaha cover.
It has the soft liner already sown into the inside of the cover. Something Yamaha should have picked up on years ago.
Installed a set of Woodys "Slim Jims". I went...
Installed the Yamaha tunnel bag, part # SMA-8JP63-00-00
Have to drill 2 holes to mount these
Done
Very nice bag, should be able to fit a bunch of stuff in it
Had some trouble last year hitting the switches when I would stand up, hopefully these fix that.
I also ordered a tunnel bag, cover, 8" riser, heated handlebar bag, and some clutch parts
