One bad sled! Has run near 150mph in 1000'. With more time it will. Its a stock chassis with 144" ice age rails, fresh motor (10 runs on it) built by Casey Hauck, cams set and clutched by Glenn Hall. Runs consistant 4.5 at 105-108mph in 500' - so runs with Pro Stocks and Pro Mods. Linksys...
I have a 2024 SRX coming and would prefer the 2023 given the colors... anyone know of any or be interested in a trade? Mine will have a 5 year warranty with it.
Thanks!
I have a friend with a stock Viper - wondering what good QUIET mufflers and clutch options are out there. All of my experiences are with Turbo based units - he is not that guy. Any input would be great!
I purchased the Stage 4 last year from EVO and had trouble with Code 39. Also, given that boost came on so late we had to clutch it so it was sluggish down low. The challenge I have is timing - I need a kit working asap as we head up north soon! Really need the updated stage 4 like today! :)...
Jim had the intelligence and the passion. Lets face it, this sport is hard to make money in and takes the wind out of even those that are "all in". I think Ulmer is done too. Any news on him?
Does anyone know anyone in MN area that is good with aftermarket motor work aside from Ulmer? Looking for a shop to work on viper turbo sled that has a miss and cannot think of anyone. Ulmer doesn't call me back.
Thoughts?
My winder blew a belt baldy last year - damaged plastics and wound up behind the primary (which I was unaware of) and took out the bearing on the inside. IMO, given what I have read and know to be true regarding the desire to put these sleds on a diet, possibly they have lightened the structure...
Nice purchase Mike! I have NO REGRETS on my purchase. I would love more seat time - only issue is the code 39 but its a result of my EVO Tune as you know. Overall, this sled is awesome. Yes, want more HP but know it will come. Lets ride these things together soon!
Spoke to Dave today, sounds like a very sweet setup. Stock power until 6500 and then she comes alive. I have a Stage V EVO kit that is flashing a code 39. They want me to pull power out of it - basically have it become a stage 3. Pretty bummed with that solution - thinking of adding 30hp...
Checked an LTX LE in blue. I really wanted the XTX 141 with a 1.6" cobra - no such luck! Traded in my stock 14 Viper. Still have a 14 with a stage II Ulmer setup for sale! Low miles and it flies!
Blue Ltx or xtx for me! Price is high - may wait a year. I have an Ulmer tuned 10-18lb push turbo xtx with overdrive clutches and gearing- 459 miles. Lots of dough with lots of power. Time will tell!
Not sure where you guys are getting your "data" from, however the story behind PUSH is actually much different than whats here. The source for the PUSH turbo (pump itself) is the same as it is for Garret and most auto manufacturers out there. Don't fool yourself and think that most turbos are...
