Nice score on a LE. 129 or 137? Did Kip have anything to do with the deal?

Mike did you find that new from a dealer or used? There was one just like that on Ebay that looked like a great deal. Thanks for the great feedback. Took the plunge and brought one home today.
Calling for a possible 12-19" here come Friday. May get a chance to put some miles on yet this year.
Here it is in the trailer heading home.

Mike and I chatted yesterday, he bought it used across the border. He did give Kip a shot though.

Kip didn't have one, so I had go out and find it used with only a few hundred miles on. He approved however on the machine/price and of course will always be my very good friend and preferred dealer. They just don't get any better than him.
It's just like my buds Winder including the color. Was very happy I was able to find exactly what I was looking for. The 137" LTX-LE. I knew that ride on my friends sled was going to cost me some bucks, and it did.
The Winder should put some excitement back into riding again! Can't wait to start digging into it.

Nice purchase Mike! I have NO REGRETS on my purchase. I would love more seat time - only issue is the code 39 but its a result of my EVO Tune as you know. Overall, this sled is awesome. Yes, want more HP but know it will come. Lets ride these things together soon!

Hey KnappAttack, great looking Sidewinder. Lots of guys on here are real happy you cam back to Yamaha.
If you don,t mind, would you please start a new thread detailing what you are doing to your sled to get it to be the animal you want it to be. I and I,m sure many others would love to read about the progress you are making with it.
The more detail, the better re clutching, tunes, etc.

I already have it coming apart just to go over things in the chassis and clutches so I can ride it this weekend with the impending huge snowstorm coming. Of course rollers are all flatspotted, and even found a hose clamp slipped right off the turbo to the intercooler. I bet that was a huge boost leak and HP loss right there! Clamp was on at a huge angle then I could see where it slid right off the hose. Any bets the owner go rid of it because it was a slug from what would be that huge boost leak?
Very impressed with this thing from my old POS 2012 turbo Cat in its build construction through out! Can't even imagine it came out of the same factory actually.
Nice Mike! Congrats!

Dan, I know the problem with the lazy bottom and midrange. I will be talking with Dave Marshall shortly to run some ideas past him, he probably even knows where I'm going with this already I bet. Its as easy as what I was doing with my Doo, along with Daves (Hurricanes) tune it should be a complete animal bottom and top. Should make for a fantastic, complete package trail sled, just like my old Doo was, maybe even better. I have a buddy with a Motec Doo I want to go after, plus make it faster than my old turbo Doo of course. I'm pretty confident in the end it may very well be the fastest "trail sled" I've owned running on pump fuel.
I'm pretty stoked already just crawling thru this thing.

After changing out my stock track I had posted how impressed I was with the build quality of the SW. Especially since I was expecting it to be sub par. I know Yamaha has had a profound influence on the build quality coming from Thief River Falls these days. Good luck with it Mike I hope it treats you well and performs to your expectations.
