Stator/rotor/timing pickup
You could try pulling the stator cover and checking the stator/rotor and timnig pickup for damage. Maybe theres a piece of sh!t on the timing pickup. Just other crap to try. FWIW I did a comp test on my motor after sitting for 2-3 weeks and it came abit low also...
Question for the guys that have tested this, DaveF I know you have mentioned this before and I am sure others would know this as well.
At different boost levels say 12, 15, 18, 20, 22 lbs, what pressure is in the header?
Asking because I am searching for a leak using a plumbers plug...
Clearing that D@MN Code 20
FYI my values when shut off with my PL box in the loop are 91(atmo) and 10(intake). In order to fully clear the code 20, you have to unhook the PL box and take it out of the intake pressure sensor wiring(put the intake sensor wiring back to stock). Then you need to...
Power supply.
I know when I had stator issues, I would get some of those codes before I would get the code 46(I think that is the code) for the battery voltage. I would double check you're charging system. It should be 13.6Volts + at an idle or slightly above. Mine was hit and miss...
Displaying the sensors
You can "see" what the sensors are telling the ecu via the diagnostic mode. Diagnostic2 is the atmospheric sensor value while diagnostic 3 is the intake value. With the sled off, they should be the same. You can check the intake sensor by cranking the motor without...
Atmospheric press. sensor
Infront of the oil tank on the clutch side. Just like the intake sensor except it does not have a hose connected to it. If you are using a pure logic/dobeck controller, you may have to unplug it completely and start the sled without it hooked in to clear the code 20...
Settings
I set the tps through the diagnostics on the yami guage pod. It should be 15-18closed 95-100 open. If either end is way out and you cannot get it there by moving the tps, the tps is toast(I don't think this is the case, but you never know). The black knob is an idle set speed...
TPS/ idle setup
I would check your tps values. By moving the black knob, it can alter the tps/idle setup. It takes abit of time to setup the idle from scatch. I did the same thing. Played with the knob/and throttle stop trying to increase my idle rpm and ended up taking about 2 hours to get...
Gen II's
Floatation is unreal with these skis. Four inches of powder is like a magic carpet ride on the front end now. They do push more than the stockers on anything less than about the four inches. I would not run another apex without the ski's. I would trade the steering traits for the...
Mid-season update
Gaskets are working flawlessly so far. I have pulled my turbo off twice and reused the square gasket, Not the long header one but the turbo gasket. Even after a couple squishes, the gasket is much thicker than the metal one I had before. Have not noticed any header leaks...
20-22 psi
Ran 20 for one ride LOL Destroyed my 2ndary clutch. Runs awesome there though. I will be back at 20 when I get a replacement clutch  Motor seems fine, no coolant loss or anything odd. Head shim w/cam timing done to PL specs.

Pick up coil
No, the pick up coil checked out ok as well. I pulled it apart for a visual and found the problem. One lug was burnt looking and the resin was melted away from the wiring. The only indication from the resistance test was the one phase reading .3 ohms while the other two were .2...
Very late update.
Changed stator and its all good. Voltage snaps right up to 14 immediately after starting, its does not even need to be reved up! Old stator must have been weak but not ruined. Starts great and runs much better without the low voltage issues. Thanks LenT and everyone for...
Nice sleds you built Steve.
Well I could trade you my apex and save you that headache :) Sold my meth kit jus to avoid the potential headache for this year. You guys get it figured out and I'll reap the rewards. Rhino's are working great thanks again. Let me know if you find a well...
Answers and an off topic note.
1. Yes if the values(voltages) are out at an idle it will screw the idle right up. Try it with a new tps and you will see the change it makes. TOO high of numbers and it will flood right out!
2. Seperate random events. Tps is very common to go with...
TPS does play in the idle
The TPS settings have a huge effect on the idle. It will run very rich if it is set to high when the throttle is closed. Did you move it on the throttle bodies when you pulled the sled apart to fix the gasket? If the range is ok, you may still have an ok tps...
