    850 mile 05 RX1 turbo report

Mike, I'm sure 150 on the meter is very possible, but for some reason I get all these crazy thoughts going through my mind..what would happen if the track blew... what would happen if the chain case locked up...its got to be my age. I guess I'll just have to be satisfied with blowing past my...

    850 mile 05 RX1 turbo report

05 RX1 with Simon CPR turbo installed by Mike Knapp, 96 Woodys down the middle, Bergstrom triple point carbides with ski savers. The TURBO..you can ride this thing all day long on the trail, smooth, quiet, dependable and 16 MPG. When you get to the lake the fun begins. Nothing that is...

what in your opinion is the best exhaust system for the rx-1

I'm with LB..leave it stock. Aftermarket exhaust are causing closure and restrictions of OUR trail systems. When I hear a loud aftermarket pipe, I am not impressed, it pisses me off!! I hope enforcement gets tighter. 05 RX1, Simmons CPR Turbo

    turbo motor down

There is no way he should be running those kind of temps. Go to the speedshops web site and you'll see the Simon CPR front mount turbo with a EGT reading of 1184 at the highest in a 1/4 mile run...during the Summer!! I agree with Kip, he needs to take it to someone who knows what there doing.

    Some general questions

Thank guys for you input. RXhauler..on CPR Turbo, what did you do to address the heat issue. This is my biggest concern. We will run 5 to 10 miles at 75 to 80 MPH across a lake and I don't want to be worrying about something melting or catching on fire. Thanks

    Some general questions

What happens if you just can't find 91 octane and have to run 87? Is the turbo running boost when your trail riding say at 45-55 mph? What is the biggest difference trail riding a turbo VS a stock sled? Have any of you with the front mount had ANY issues with heat. I'm looking for somebody to...

    Best mirrors

Sorry no picture, traded the 03 for an 05 and have not put the mirrors on as of yet. Yes you can see excellent behind you. They cost about 60.00 for the pair, you will not be disappoited. When you get them unscrew the two bolts that protude from the base that way you can position them exactly...

    Best mirrors

The best mirrors I've found are Polaris's XC mirrors. I put them on my 03 last year. They are highly adjustable, they mount so they fill the gap between the hood and windshield flare (helping wind) and they look great. They mount almost flush with the RX hood and the best thing is they fold in...

Hook up heated sheild on a Warrior How?

I connected mine directly to the battery. Put in a inline fuse i got from NAPA, ran wire along frame on clutch side and secured with silver heat tape and connected to a dash mount plug-in (from skidoo). Just run hot wire to battery and ground to frame close to plug-in.

    track stretch?

I would take it on 15 to 20 minute easy run, not over 50 -60 and then tighten. This thing will stretch fast. The key is if you are getting any ratcheting out of the hole, stop and tighten. I tightened mine after 20 minutes of hard running (ripped off heat shield) and its been fine since.

    VIPER34 ????

srxspec..Do you actually think those popcan thin tin shields are going to protect anything from a stud. I seriously doubt those thing were intendend to protect anything other then maybe dispensing heat, but I'd like to know.

    VIPER34 ????

My dealer installed a ripsaw on my 03 and 120 1.325's down the middle. The track loosened up a bunch the 1st 1/2 hour of riding, racheted bad and tore off the heat shield. I've since tightened and no ratcheting and everything seems to be OK, no green snow but have not inspected heat exchanger...

    Ripsaw and Studding

yamadave..track was studded when new. no problems with loosing any studs. Just lost the heat shield. The track will stretch very fast, 1st 1/2 hour of riding, it's about the same thing I experienced last year with the finger track, but with the longer studs it must have been enough to catch the...
