    Top speed on your sled?

Hard pack trail. 300+HP form that supercharger is unforgiving, but fun

    MPI Apex

174" track with no wheels and I havent burned out my hyperfax yet. Used to go through two sets of stockers a year. Stay away from graphite hyfax I've killed those in a matter of hours.

    Top speed on your sled?

135 on the dreamometer and still pulling hard when I blew the thottle bodies off with a 174 X 15 X 2.5. Not exactly stock though.

    Changing Hyfax

I usually just take the skid out, but I've done it so many times that only takes about 2 minutes to remove and maybe 10 to put back in depending on how fast I pump up the shocks. If I leave the skid in then I take a wood dowel and beat the front of the hyfax untill it gets to the track. It...

    T.O.R.S.

I had to disable my TORS because of the Super Charger. It wasn't hard, but for the life of me I can't remeber what I did. Once I disabled the TORS with the rerouting of the cable and a riser I felt better getting a new cable made at the local Harley shop. I reccomend a tether if u do this.

    Headlight delete

the lights are walmart specials wired in to the high beams. I went to piaa lights mounted on the handlebars for this season since the old ones where always covered with snow which made them crack from the moisture and freezeing.

    Headlight delete

I cut a piece off my buddies vector hood after he trashed it and zip tied it over the hole left from the headlight delete, but I'll be running a diamond-s setup this season.

Does anybody make a longer throttle cable for 07 Mtn Apex?

I had mine made at the local harley dealer.

    Icing boards

ran better boards all last year on a nytro and my apex. They still ice up but are much easier to clean out. Plus you still get grip from the taller boards. Outside edge still ices up pretty easilly.

New accessories & track from Yamaha

I put this track on my Attak and it made a big difference in the deep snow, but I lost a lot of top end speed. I installed slide savers in the non-clipped windows. For the riding I do up here this swap was needed of course a few weeks later I bough an Apex mtn.

    Nitrous or turbo??????

Supercharged is better for trail riding for the linear power, but a lot of the newer turbo systems seem to have little to no lag. I would say that superchargers are cheaper than turbo's, but I seem to have dropped just as much coin on mine. I havent had much experiance with nitrous, but if...

Noticable difference between the attak and the apex mtn?

the attak is definatley going to be quicker and faster unless there is powder or an incline. I went the mtx because the attak doesn't climb worth a crap.

    Random Question

Loved mine out of the box. was going from an attak so I was already used to a heavy sled, but the mtx actually went through the powder and could climb. If you're looking to turbo or supercharge then the apex is a great sled for that. Be carefull though, once you start into boost it gets really...

    Better Boards?

Put them on mine. Mostly for better traction, but they do eliminate snow better. I justed drilled out all the rivets for the coolers and dropped them down for clearence to get in there with a sawzall and grinder. It was a reall pain, but it was worth it. It would be nice to relocate the...

    Aftermarket Exhaust - Nytro

I put an excell undertunnel on my apex purely for weight savings. It is really loud on the trail and loading in the neighberhood, but in fresh powder it is more muffled. I do like it loud and luckilly don't have to worry about noise laws, but I also don't rev it up when I know it's going to...

Keeping this thing on the side of a hill!!

I didn't have a huge problem side hilling my apex, but I was coming off of an attak which was way out of it's element for hills. I did just remove my sway bar and put a riser on it for my last ride. Huge difference. It's a whole new sled. Spent the better half of a day over-countersteering...

    Apex is like?

I love my Apex. Was great stock and even better with mods. Get boss or mtn mod seat, light weight exhaust (I have excell mtn light), mtn tamer rear suspension, loose the light pod, and you'll be in heaven. this is around $2500-$2900 and you shed around 90lbs.

    EXHAUST

The extra pieces are off my buddies vector mtx and some mesh I found around the house. Its held on with zipties (sled stiches). Moved the pod to my handlebars and put wal-mart special lights on. Wired into the high beams so I can tur them off. Saved 10-15 lbs from removing the light pod...

    EXHAUST

Got the excell under tunnel on mine. Install was really easy. I just dropped the track and removed the seat to get to it. Its loud, but sounds great. You'll also drop a lot of weight with this mod as well. Here's a clip with it installed. (I also have the airbox modified)...

    attak trenching

From what I've heard the 1.5" intense track is good, but I only have experiance with the freeride. I would have gone with bigger lugs, but that requires driver, gearing, and clutching changes. I would recommend an 1.5" freeride for a relatively simple change. It will definitely be an...
