I just got back from a trip. At the end of the first day the outer layer of the belt came off at high speed. I was only a few miles from base camp and it was dark so I figured I would slow it down and try to limp back without changing the belt until the morning. Well a short distance later the belt let loose. Upon changing the belt I noticed that the buttons and the casting of the fixed sheave that supports the button had broken off. I called the local dealer and they ended up warrantying it but I did have to pay 30 bucks for expidited shipping. I also disassembled and assembled the secondary so that helped speed up the repair without having to take the sled there etc.
I was wondering if anyone has had this happen and also inform others if this does happen that the dealer should warranty it.

Hey guys,
Those button towers get machined off when I do a conversion to our Lightning Pro Roller kit. If it is not covered under warranty, consider instead of a new clutch, do the conversion on the secondary along with machining the primary for overdrive and you have a real nice clutch package for less than the new secondary. We been running the roller secondaries on our turbo sleds and no problems.

Sorry you had to pay for yours ReX and your other bad luck. That was basically what mine looked like except all three of my buttons were wasted and the casting was broke in 2 of 3 positions. Before this season I was beginning to think the extended warranty was a waste of $$. But this year I got 4 coils and the fixed sheave of the secondary replaced.
How much do you charge for the roller converison?

mine did the same after 6000 miles. I went with Pioneers composite roller, bolts on sheave and worked awesome. 279.00 for the kit. bye bye buttons!

zelinsmrx1, if you are asking me, it is $229.00 for the secondary conversion and $65.00 to machine and balance the primary for overdrive.
You can still use OEM style helixes in case you have an assortment and the conversion allows for overdrive on the secondary also.
