I jhave a pair of precision skis on my 07 phazer and it seems to steer alot better than my warrior that has stock skis with doolie 6" sharper stud boys on it. The warrior seems to just plow snow and no steer. Anyone think it would be better if i just swapped the skis from both machines?

sounds like it is time for a new set of skis for the war. i love what the curve xs skis did on mine last season. made it float much better off trail and on trail, made it so it almost has power steering. pm hondo as he used these skis when he set the guiness record on his 05 rs venture.

You may want to consider adjusting the front shock in the rear suspension more loose, and I'll bet you can make your current set up work nicely. Most folks have that spring too tight causing a bit of teeter-totter. When the sled rocks back, your front scrubs. Or, maybe the weight transfer is not correctly adjusted, if the sled is rocking back and scrubbing under acceleration.
Is the carbide and wear bar fresh? If you have 6" of fresh carbide in doolies, it should work just fine when you get the suspension adjusted correctly.
If you want more flotation, go with wider skis. But, most-likely they will scrub on trails with loose snow. If you want it to rail, then go to a single runner. But then the sled will dart and the ski pressure required will make the steering too heavy. Also, you will most-likely be fighting the steering constantly.
Bottom line, if the suspension is adjusted correctly, you can make fresh doolies work fairly good. Mine work great. Does my seld rail like my old ZRs. No. But my old ZRs weighed a lot less too.
