Need some help Diagnosing a problem on 06 apex er. Code 35 is on.
It only has spark on the #4 plug.
the other three coils and plugs are good.
I even tried 4 other ones that are almost new.
checked the wiring to them (good).
fuses & relays are Good
also swapped the ecu and regulator/rectifier with known good ones.
thought maybe it is a cam sensor issue, swaped it out and still nothing.
One other thing I noticed is that the fuel pump is working either. It is getting 12 + volts at the connector for it and it will run when I connect it directly to the battery. This has me baffled as I know all wiring is good .

It sounds like you have checked / swapped out everything that I can think of. The only thing between the coils and the ECU is the "sub wire harness". I am sure that you checked this five pin connector that carries the common +12V and the four discreet grounds for the coils.
The fuel pump relay coil is energized by the same red/white wire that all four ignition coils use. Keep in mind that the R/W wire is a constant +12Vdc when the sled is on. It is the discreet ground signals from the ECU that completes the circuit to each of the ignition coils and the fuel pump relay coil.
Since the fuel pump relay is also not energizing I would normally suspect the R/W wire of not being hot since it is also used by all four ignition coils. However this would not explain the one coil working.
I believe that the R/W wire is "daisy chained" at the ignition coils and perhaps #4 is fed first resulting in a bad connection causing the other three to not receive power. Do you have +12Vdc with reference to chassis ground on the R/W wire at all four coils and the fuel pump relay?

Thanks for all the info ? This has been the oddest electrical issue ever. all the wiring checks out fine.
so I take a computer from my 07 rtx and put in the 06 er and the code 35 is now gone. This is the same computer that I tried earlier and nothing but this time I played with disconnecting & hooking up the battery ground after I hooked it up. At 1st the pump wouldn't work at all so i jumped it and the engine runs fine until I remove the jumper. Played with the battery again and no power to pump with ignition but it does while running. did the same thing again and now it runs perfect everytime. I hooked that old computer again and nothing but that CODE 35
so it must be junk. But i had to go through same steps again with new computer when I reinstalled it before it would run on its own again. Thanks again! I'm definatly gonna hold onto your post for wiring trouble shooting

souunds like a corroded wire, couple years ago my sled just died (luckily in front of my house) i had no fuel pump or relay action but checking with a voltmeter i had 12 volts at evrything turns out red wire ( i think green tracer) that feeds from starter relay to fuel pump relay was rotted out multimeter would read voltage but once a load went on dropped to zero, cur out 8 inches of wire and soldered in new piece hav't had a issue since, that was the part of the harness right outta the comuter over to where the ground blocks are located, THE GROUND BLOCKS are a nother possible issue had them corrode up and cause drivability issues as well
