after seeing your post i realize i have the exact same problem...sled doesnt run quite rite...when i let off the throttle it idles about 500 rpms then slowy dies out...changed plugs to a used set same thing..tryed a new set same thing...after 2 days of screwing around with it figured to check coils...all 4 tested within specs on the energizer part of the coil...3 tested at 5kohms to the plug part and the other one tested 5mega ohms to the plug which is 500 times higher resistance then specs...got a new one on order will let you know how i make out..

Anyone ever figure out where the fuel filter is???
I have the same problem with my 07 RTX for some reason I think when I changed my plugs the low idle went back to normal. And yes mine only does it when it's hot.Not sure if it still does it anymore no ride time this year so far no god damm snow...

Fuel filter is in tank.take gas cap off then take the white sleeve out, pull up and look towards base of seat you will see a white filter at the bottom.canapex said:Anyone ever figure out where the fuel filter is???

When I cold start mine it will idle low alittle but never stall. It will come back to normal. When It's warm it runs fine. Is this normal?
How can I run dianostics in the dream meter?

I did this CO to -10 and readjust idle to 1600 - 1700 rpm and my sled dont bog now when blip the throttle and idle better and start better.

My C0 is at -10 now. Idle turned up to about 1700.
Still have the intermittent problem...
CaptCaper...mine has always done this too after I got some miles on it. Even before this problem was ever happening.

Had mine out the other day and sure enough when it gets up to temp it starts to idle low then stall.I also have a after market temp gauge and it's not getting hot when it does stall. And not all the time just every so often.
Sure would like to know what the problem is.

No first hand experience with this particular problem, but maybe time to start checking other sensors? Since it seems related to temp, I'd start with the water temp sensor. measure resistance cold and then put it in water up to boiling and see if resistance tracks with temp. use thermometer to calibrate...
Or wire from sensor to ECU chaffed or shorted?
Maybe ECU thinks the sled is too cold ('cause temp sensor isn't working right) and is keeping it too rich after it warms up?
Hope you find your problem,
Dan

It doesn't seem to be replaceable...no part # for it?

Mine doesn't have to be warm to have the problem. Can happen sitting in the garage.

Anyone have any idea if the throttle body synchronizer would have anything to do with this issue?
If we screw them in all the way, it idles down as if I was having the problem. Maybe there's dirt or something in there bouncing around?

Mine does this as well on my supercharged sled, sometimes it perfect other times its off. When it goes into the bad part my af gauge reads 10:1, then full lean, then full rich, etc. Its like its over adjusting and cant quite get it leveled out. When its perfect it idles at 13.5 and just purrs at 1500 like its supposed to.
To me its seems to be a fuel injection related issue and possibly not fixable.

mbarryracing was explaining to me how the IAC valve worked and that it acts like a thermostat I may try taking mine apart to see if its moving freely and not sticking.
This problem has been getting slowly worse all season.
For the fuel filter unlrelated to this I installed a high flow fuel pump for the SC system adn of course matching new filter and it did nothing for this idle issue.
