just tried to loosen my rear idlers to tighten my track and the nut snapped off taking the shaft with!!!!do i need to take out suspension to replace the shaft or can i slide a new shaft thru without?this is a ck skid not a mono

Use a piece of rod, broomstick, whatever, and push the old axle out. The thing you use to push it out will keep everything aligned ish. No need to pull the skid out.

x3 on not pulling the skid. you do need to back the track tension all the way off though. that shaft is the same back to the 1992 phazer II skid.

So will the shaft from a 2000 srx fit in the ck skid?

yes it should.

You can also knock the old shaft back a little and remove the roll pin that holds the bolt head to the shaft then use the new shaft to drive the old one out. Have removed this roll pin in the past to remove and replace the guide wheel right there behind the head side of the shaft on past sleds.
I had a center guide wheel go bad on a RX and wore a groove into a shaft and have kept that old shaft for a driving/holding tool.

Hey guys I'm in a serious pinch here is the shaft off my SRX skid going to work on this CK skid?
