The question is how close you guys think I am for setup on my 07 Apex GT.

I weigh 210 fully geared up. Aggressive trail rider.

Front spring pre load 55m of thread or 230mm spring length with driver.
Front compression dampening force 6 clicks out from max.
Front rebound dampening force is 11 clicks out from max.

Rear spring preload is set to 262 m and compresses to 230, Aprox 32m of sit on it.
Rear rebound dampening force it set to 25 clicks from minimum.
Rear control rod transfer is set half way between min and max.

I have not had a chance to drive it, so do you think I am far off or what??

Suggestions welcome.

We are about the same

I left my front shocks alone.. I only added the 5.5 rear spring to my GT and set it at the LOOSE setting..

WOrks perfect..

Front Shock Settings

What are the come from Yamaha settings on the front shocks on the 07 Apex GT?

I use 4 scales to set the sled up like a race car. All digital scales on 4 corners. Then balance the sled out with spring pressure. Sometimes one side requires more or less pressure.

Interesting! Do you do this with or without your weight placed on the seat?

The scale set up thing is easy. First you need a set of digital scales that the stock car guys use to scale the late models or modifieds (around $2K). Second you adjust your skis so equal pressure is applied to the two front scales. Do it with rider off first, then re do it with rider on. For the rear I cant see what difference it makes except to verify that both scales are equal at the #*$&@ end.
