07 rage gt won't idle

Hi. I am a first time rage owner coming from an RX-1. I picked up a used one with 10000 mi on it. The sled is in beautiful shape, but... It won't idle. I have had the carbs cleaned and synced and Changed the plugs as well. It works good above 2500 rpm but will not idle below that. It occasionally will idle some what after a good run. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Check the timing to see if it jumped and check to see if the chain tensioner has been changed. You'll have to remove the valve cover and oil tank to check timing. The old tensioners had a orange dot and the new ones have a blue dot. It can be hard to see the dot but a small mirror and good lighting will help.

I have had 2- 07 do the same, tried everything cleaned carbs multiple times, checked timing, finally borrowed a rack of carbs of a good running sled, and they both were cured, bought some used racks cheap and they went along their way, not sure if one has a hair line crack and sucking air, as they both acted like they have vaccum leaks but I could never find one. either idled at 2600 or 900 hot barely running, and a bear to keep running when cold.

Ive noticed mine running 1400RPM or 2500RPM since i put my 4" bar risers on, didn't have to change the throttle cable tho, that seemed to be the only thing that didn't need to be lengthened, i try adjusting the idle screw and sometimes it works and some times it doesn't, i guess i will clean carbs, adjust throttle cable, re set idle and go from there.
