I could take the time and figure this out for myself, but, i thought i'd see what kind of help/advice I can from guys that have done this. I have an 07 apex rtx and was wondering on the modifications I need to do when installing 10 tooth extros? The sled is stock clutching and gearing. This model is the CK 121 not the mono skid. It has a fully clipped track on it. So, to what lenth of rail trimming, front heat exchanger protector removal or anti-stab kit do I require? Thanks to all who reply
, Scott

Top end mostly. They move the track more effciently than smaller drives. Same as the larger rear idlers to reduce the pull aroung the bend. I probally could have used 9's for the amount to top end pulls I really do, but I have a set of 10's.

i went to 10 tooth on my 03 rx after much testing and comparing. my buddy and i did side by side comparisons on our 2 rx sleds and the 10 tooth were faster in deeper lake snow, all else being equal. i later went to a 136 track and now run a 144 on my 05 rx. the other added bonus is the spedo becomes radar accurate, but the odo reads under by about 5%. im running 22-42 gears with overdrive. i have seen 115mph with this setup. i run an expert x that did not require any rail mods, but i doubt you will have problems as the extra inch diameter only puts them a half inch closer to tips. it would be easy to remove rail caps and trim if needed. i removed all the tunnel protectors and have ran a 1.25 ice ripper with no problems.
