hand warmers not working. Tried three sets of bars still nothing, thumb warmer works fine. Any help would be appreciated.

Are you getting any error codes from the gauge pod? Usually, when they go bad or short, it will flash a code.
Have you checked the resistance in each grip? The manual says the specs should be 1.53-1.87 ohm per grip for the regular bars, 6.12-7.48 ohm for the hooked bars.
The service manual has a whole troubleshooting section on them.

08 phazer handwarmer issues
I had the same problem they seem to cool down and just get warm never any kind warmness coming from them then the left side stop working changed it . It lasted one season now I went with after market and have nice warm hands all the time . My 08 GT had all updates done on it . These have been a problem with my sled since i got it . There is a lot of info on this sight about this issue.Codes never came on at all when they werent working.Guys on this site know what there talking about helped me a couple of times even with this issue .

Just remembered, there is tech bulletin for '08 GT and MTX for the hand warmers where they forgot to put a specific wire harness. It is covered by a special warranty and will be covered by Yamaha. Here's a copy of it.
