09 Nytro code 84 help!

I just got off m nytro and the pod is reading code 84? I have done a little research and I am thinking that code 84 may be the speed sensor bearing? Now, can somebody tell me how to check this bearing to see if it's messed up or other possibilities why code 84 may be flashing The machine idles high and backfires like crazy. Thanks

code 84 is your TORS (throttle over ride system) check to see if you have ice or something stuck in your throttle block or if you have a kinked throttle cable
