Thanks for your help Turk. I know it has been beaten to death.
I'll ask my question in a new manner.
Does anyone know the number to phone Yamaha Canada to have a recal letter fax to them?
Cheers,
Chris

I called Yamaha Canada @416-498-1911 and they told me to go to Transport Canada's webpage and I could find them there. After going there alls I could find was listings for their bikes. Does any one have the Recall notice for 2007 RTX that wouldn't mind faxing it to me?
Cheers,
Chris

Did anyone notice the snowchecking incentive on yamaha canada? It's pretty good, not as good as it should be but instead of that 700 dollar yamaha bucks they usually give its up to $1300.00 instant bonus, free jacket, 2 years extended warrenty. It should be more like 3,500 instant bonus but it's a start i guess, still not buying a new 09 though, i'm not getting ripped off.

yeah, it should be more $3500.
Then I could deal with an extended warranty if I want, fleece jacket I have plenty of these that my mom has started to cut them to make rags...

The incentives were posted to-nite on yamaha canada website. Maximum of $1300 on a top end sled & less on other models. Considering the us gives an average of $500 were still high here.

This is about how Yamaha is ripping off Canadian buyers. Our dollar is worth more but we still pay more. I love my yammie but I can't, and I won't, over pay for a yamaha again. Loyalty only goes so far!

It's not the dealers, these poor bastards have to overpay also. Yamaha know exactly how many are coming across the border......but they still don't seem to mind screwing their cdn dealers.
The remaining dealers (the have lost a few close to me) are really going to struggle next year.
Leave the MSRP, they will never lower it, EVER......but make the rebates count for something. 3k to drive across the border is a no brainer.
I feel sorry for the dealers.
us dealers do not pay more, our dealer pays more cost than they sell the same sled for in the u.s.

i was talking about duty, the duty from JPN into US is more than JPN into Canada, at least thats what I've been told. My family owned a Yamaha dealership for 30 years, unfortunately like many in the GTA it had to close due to $........well, it wasn't worth it, make more $ renting the building than selling power sports.

Yamaha is certainly doing all they can to make my decision not to buy new ever again ! Here in Canada anyway. If they are trying to attract new riders to the sport, how is it done for a sled worth approx $12000 or more ? Must be the same decision making for sleds built in Canada being more expensive here than abroad ! So I guess that blows holes in that marketing theory. My opinion, feel free to disagree . I will just keep buying more goodies for my 2006 Nytro, and keep the aftermarket parts supply companies happy. They should have it togeher in the next 5 years or so, looking forward to a ski-doo 4-stroke .
