09 prices canada

2009 Apex GT-

$11,699 in US - $600 = $11,100.

$15,100 in CAD - $1300.00 = $13,800

So we pay an extra $2700 bucks + TAX!! and we also get shafted on only the 3 year warrenty vs. 4 in the US. I ain't buying a new yammy till this gets fixed. And Canada's import fee's are not more then the US beacuse ski-doo's are built in Canada, not far from where i live, and yet a new 2009 800 X-XP is about $2500 cheaper in the US!!!

Yes I really wish they would fix this too. It is just to obvious what they are doing and they (all manufacturers) should be ashamed of themselves.

Buying a sled from within Canada will only prove that Yamaha Canada's pricing policy is perfectly fine the way it is. In order to make a statement and get Yammy Canada to bring the pricing down, buy your sled from the U.S.

Imagine the great press Yamaha Canada would get if they would match U.S. sticker prices! Sales would skyrocket versus the other OEMs.

Why should they care about the press, mandate is to make money and selling more aleds does not always lead to more profits.

Jim

what would really get me is knowing the sleds are made half an hour away but yet anyone in the US could buy for $2000 less. This is skidoo so they are all doing it not just yamaha.

I think you have nailed it. They only have to be priced down around to the level of what the other manufacturers are priced at.

Chris on the blog makes a remark that substantiates this. I dont remember his exact wording so I wont try and quote. But it is in a recent article answering one of the comments maybe it was.

found a dealer here in quebec that made me a price on a 09 xtx 12600$ tax included with the 3yr warranty and 500 yammy $$$

That's basically what is being offered when you spring check here in Canada.

It still doesn't come close (over $2000) to the U.S. deal of $10550 with a 4yr warranty and 600 Yamabucks.

You can buy an xtx for $11,300 cash in manitoba rebate to dealer...plus taxes!!! He discounts $1000 plus takes off whatever the rebate is.

lol well i think the 12600 is better than what ive been quoted at 5 other dealers..so far everything else is between 13500-13800 in quebec...

Whoops, sorry I misread your post saying that it included tax. My bad.

What dealer did you get a price quote of $12600 then? That makes the price at $11200 before taxes...hmmm.

Troy city garage http://www.troycitygarage.com/snowmobiles.htm

Has the 2009 XTX listed at $8,850.....+$206 RVI import fee= $9,050

that over $3,000 plus the tax savings on the differance between $11,300 and $9,000 about $500!!!!

$3,500 aprox savings :moon: :drink: ;):D

The saying goes.....Profit isn't a dirty word!! If your sales are meeting your expectations, never lower price. Nothing sucks more than the effort of more sales to achieve the same margin.

ya but..gas to go get it
209 riv fee
trips to us for warranty
u forgot to add freight & set up..+$300ish
dollar diff...today were lower????
it,s undoubtably a better price but in reality it ain,t as rosey a picture as your painting!!!
Top secret..the canadian sleds have better mapping in the ECU,s plus more aggressive clutching. They are at least 3-4 lengths faster in 1000'!

Wait...no...scratch that last part.
