1/4 turn fasteners

Wondering where you source your DZUS type fasteners?
looking for #32 (alen-type head)

The Hex bolts are a pain and I would like to put the D ring type instead of the hex bolts. Is that possible?

I wanted to change the hex 1/4 turns on the battery side so before buys them I tried one from the drive side and due to the recess they won't fit. I run a tender on my batteries and its really a pain removeing the hex heads. Any suggestions?

For the battery tender, use a pre wired adapter plug. I have one wired on all my sleds and motorbikes for easy hookup to a tender. Here an example:

I already have that but it's more for being able to check fluids and such. I saw somewhere where the D ring type can be used but it appears I would need longer screws to do it. The D ring 1/4 turns are much easier to use.

Ah, ok. I kinda have to agree with you on that one. Checking the oil, ect on our Phazers' has always been a bit of a pain due to this. I've thought about welding some sort of extension knob to the original bolts to make them removable without an Allen wrench.

I never really minded the little maintenance quirks of the Yamahas until I bought a couple SkiDoo 4-strokes. The Doos' are SO much easier when it comes to maintenance, it's not even close. The Phazers are arguably more entertaining to ride though.

Check out this site. They specialize in Dzus fasteners. Maybe a longer one with a washer could work.
