Oh yea. I believe the tip has 2.4 grams. I took it all out. Definitely a different animal now.
Thanks.

There must be an issue with your sled I saw as much as 115 on my speedo and 111 on gps with the speedo reading 113. That was with 108 miles on the sled and a fully loaded weight.

Poor fuel quality & DCS cutting in?

Been running 91 to 93 octane since new. Sleds always pulled hard to 100 - 10,400. With this change, it's pulling hard well past 100 mph.

Also, other than not being able to max my rpm, I've never been able to hold any sustainable speed to check top mph due to conditions or running out of room. I simply wanted to get full shift out with my rpms.....and it seems like removing this weight did it.

My total weight was 94 grams and by taking the rivit out of the tip is a whole different sled. I always run shell 92 octane fuel.

I never got more than 1,500 feet of room and had 109 mph starts out at 10,000 rpm and goes to 10,800 now and stays there.

If you have to pull weight your motors arnt making power period

Yea, I'd call 110 mph with more to go a complete power failure. What's your rational?

You don't know much about clutching do you?? If your sled can't pull the stock clutching and you have to pull weight your sled is making less power then a sled that can pull the same 10800 with a fully loaded stock weight.

Hey Dirky, what are you riding these days ??

My buddy's SE pulls 10800+ on a long lake run with a full clutch. He has seen 117mph on the speedo. This sled has almost 2000 miles and he uses only 93 octane fuel. He was actually thinking of adding weight to his clutches. Also if you look on the Yamaha parts finder the XTX has a 3.6 rivet in the tip of the weight and the SE has a 2.4 probably due to the gearing difference. We are going to add the 3.6 to the tip of his SE weights to see how it pulls it.

Just wondering if you got a new sled yet, and what it is.
