3cyl
If it dosen't fit they could redsign the chasis alittle bit.I just bought a apex but I also think the 3 cylinder is the smoothest and most reliable engine.

Another sales point for Yamaha concerning sales to women. Snuggle up to your Phazer and ride in a snowy bliss. LMAO
LoL good one...

Too much money spent on the 3 CYL to kill it now, next years 120 3 CYL will be in PHAZER chassis.TOO SMALL YOU SAY?just spread the CF plates apart to fit the 3CYL.Different body work for sure. :ORC

I could see yamaha taking two Raptor atv engines to make a 1400. As long as vibration wasn't an issue that would be one kick a$$ sled.

A 700cc with 100H.p. (Exciter) right between the Phazer 80H.p. and keep the Vector 120 H.p. !

I think they could get a lot more that 100hp out of a 700.

I would like to see a new range of snowmobile engines based on this: http://www.yamaha-motor.com/sport/produ ... /home.aspx
Four valve cylinder head, variable length intake funnels, fly-by wire throttle...

IMHO if you want more power, just put on a turbo. the light weight is half the promise of this sled and a big motor wiill just take the weight in the wrong direction.
IMHO a factory turbo phazer would be better then putting in the triple. but i wouldn't complain if they built a phazer-based triple for you guys!

I am 100% in agreement here. getting 120 hp would be a realistic #. Keep the weight down. For the last couple of years all I've heard is Yamaha won't do blowers but I have heard rumors to the contrary more than once. Makes sense more than ever on the phazers. ecspecially on a mtn. version.

Yamaha may yet build a sled or sleds with blowers but I bet they are more interested in building sleds that can compete in snowcross than building a sled with a turbo.

I think there is a larger chance of a factory turbo option being released then a redesigned 3 Cyl/120HP engine. How many years have they been working on the Genesis 80?
If consumers demand more HP they will give it to them, but not without a price, and not by sacrificing all the effort they put into the Genesis 80. Aside from the number "80" the Phazer fills a nice niche in the Yamaha Lineup. If they called it a 100HP sled and told everyone it topped out at 90 MPH, would it really change anything other then your perspective?
IMHO,

I think if they make a 100-120 hp phazer you will see it in the wsa snowcross before too long!
