136 to a 144

Just wondering, have a buddy with a Rage 136" track with factory lug height 1-3/8", with the extension he wants to put on a 144 with 2" paddle, wondering about drivers, its a 9 tooth driver from the factory, will that have to be changed to maybe a 8 tooth, also pitch, and what gearing changes will he need if any, any help or advice would be great.

driver pitch on a rage is 2.52 and i reccomend 8 tooth extroverts. gearing wise, he should be ok with just the driver change as that gears it down the equivilent of 2 teeth usually. did bros rx war this way and we went 151 with that sled. might need some clutch fine tuning but it should be runable that way. i do reccomend the tip up rail extensions if he wants to keep his trail manners.
