Anyone done a 136 Xpert on a turbo? My 121 with x-pert ain,t getting it done & I gotta go 136 to harness 12 pounds boost. Even with all the transfer backed off that skid wants to come over backwards. Not sure if I want to 136 the stock skid or the xpert......but I know I need more track! Any input mucho appreciated
Thanx!

a couple guys I ride with have the Experts and swear by em. The one is running a boosted RX1 with 136 Expert X and he loves it. Having had experience with the Xpert yoruself you know how it is in terms of ride/handling but in terms of boost everything I've seen seems to indcate its been working pretty damn well for him.

With my expreience Stock skid will give you a headake. NOt enough transfer and even when you change the transfer rods to get some transfer you will have a racheting problem. I blew a set of antiratchet drivers on the stock skid. I tryed a 136 (Pantera)Cat skid and it worked well but the shocks were not good enough. They would fade too quick when you rode it for long days and hard rideing. Too much money to replace the shocks on the Cat skid . So I went with the 136 Bovin. Put 3000 miles on it and had the shocks revalved a little stiffer both ways. I was getting too much slap from the skid. The guy who does my shocks said that I did not need to rebiuld them they were still in good shape. Its now perfect. Handels the power and rides well and only maintanance I've had to do is replace the shock adjuster bolt (snapped it riding too hard)and a set of wheels from the insde of the skid this year. Still on the original slidders. Total 5000 miles on it so far.

I stretched my 121 stock skid to a MPI 136, I also changed both rear shocks to Engans aluminum gas shocks. I have no problems with hookup or transfer or racheting. I have transfer set one mark more than stock, it gives me a little too much ski lift. I will back off to the stock setting. I'm at 16 lbs of boost now. At 12 hookup was perfect on hardpack trail.

Have been running my sled from 15 to 18 lbs of boost this winter, stock skid is still working ok when it comes to transfer and hookup. My problem now is racheting and the stock skid is starting to disintegrate, it was a mess after last season, got it welded up and reinforced, but now it is breaking up in new places. Also lost one of the control rods, upper eye broke open.
I'm looking for options on upgrading to a new 136 skid this summer. Any inputs on the Expert-X or other skids is appreciated.

This is the only problem I had with it so far.

Other than wheels/sliders, this winter, due to low snow conditions, the skid has performed well. I have over 6000 mile on it now.
