2014 mtx. I need a few things so I was looking for some suggestions.
1st I need stiffer suspension I'm 270 lbs I bag that machine out. The torsion blocks are cranked to Hi.
2nd I had the exhaust off doing the tunnel plate and wow is that baby made of lead ? In wanting new exhaust.
3rd I'm curious if others think these are a tad on the tippy/rolly prolly side ?
Thanks

#1, find a pair of RTX torsion springs, 2100nm instead of the 1700nm on your MTX
#2, I ran a Skins Ultra Q silencer for 5000 miles before something came loose inside an started to rattle, added a bit of HP and wasn't overly loud (passed sound check in UP), 7# lighter.
#3, Yep, found it great as a powder only sled, hated it on trails. Installed trail width arms and tie-rod bars as I'm a 50/50 rider. It takes more effort to lay over in powder but really improved the trail performance. Even with the wider front is still lays over far easier in powder than my Viper XTX.

Are you mainly on or off trail?
1) GYTR front and rear shock. Helps tremendously in the trails (fronts) and the rear, valved, will help with the bottoming somewhat. Also the springs off a GT or RTX. I can’t confirm but I thought GT were stiffest of the bunch.
2)if doing exhaust just remember louder isn’t faster or more power. I’ve had Hindle on and FMF. Both added power you can feel but maybe 2-4 hp. I don’t think real world you will yield more than that. Currently stock here as having a pipe on was great n all, I just couldn’t take the drone at cruising speeds it gives off.
3)yep, tippy here. Phazer hits a certain point but doesn’t go right over. Takes abit to get used to. Once you know it comfort level will come back. I’m not sure on MTX having narrowed factory front end if it’s worse or not.

There's also the base Phazer and FX that had 2500nm springs but be forewarned, my son's FX bottoms out going over twigs and he even has aftermarket overload spring tensioner blocks and spacers. The daddy of all springs is the Venture Lite at 3000nm but would need to be cut to fit the shorter Phazer skid. Here's the specs on springs:
