Looking at getting a 141 xtx le. Does the suspesnsion with qs3s offer enough stiffness for a fat bastard? Any help would be appreciated.

thats a tough question as the 19 is a completely different shock system than before - the 17 se rocks out - i weigh 250 with gear - i pump mine up to about 130 for sno cross trails - 140 is way too stiff.... shouldnt be an issue - seems as if there always too stiff if anything... for a under 160# person...

I have a 17 XTX SE and the QS3's on this model is superior to the floats for trail riding. just putting QS3's on the front is a huge improvement. I weigh 255 and my XTX rides great with QS3;s on the front and Custom Axis on the rear.

I have Float 3 Evols on my XTX and it is totally dialed in. The only time I bottom out in the back is if I hit a big wallow out on the other side of a road approach at a fair speed. I am 235lbs in my birthday suit.

Just my opinion.
137 with coupled suspension is better for hevier loads. You can adjust the preload to the rear better. In a uncoupled 141 is a bit harder to dial in. Not saying it won’t do the job but will be stiffer from the get go even dialed in for the weight.

I am looking for a stiffer suspension as I bottomed out more then I likes on the 137. I would like to think I can stiffen the 141 skid right up so I don’t bottom on small bumps at least.

It is my understanding that the sleds are calibrated for 180lbs from the factory. I bottomed my sled 3 times with that not-so-nice feeling going up my back. I see that a company named Hygear makes a linkage mod for the rear shock on the 141, as well as shock changes if so desired. I think that the rear linkage on this suspension is not rising rate enough. I would consider this mod for next, but instead decided to move to the Winder SRX.
I did also notice that the 19 XTX has a coil over shock in the rear instead of the float, which should help.

Yea I am thinking the coil over shock should help a lot but I have never been on a 141 to know. Thanks for the info and hopfully it’s a nice ride
