Merry Christmas Russ! How does it look up north by you snow wiseMerry Christmas MotorHead. Almost looks like the sledge hammer handle is holding up the rear. I see your shiny new toy is not under the tree. I am doing the snow dance for you. Looking forward to kicking this year to the curb.

I would be surprised if they open the trails before the 1st of the year, but ya never know. God knows the business' NEED it. Good side of this is the lakes are making GOOD ice and the swamps should be froze. Keep the elves busy spinning those wrenches, your sleigh needs to FLY.
Had some time this morning to dig into suspension. Wow. RR suspension which I had 3000 on rr and about same on Viper is really wearing at the front arm pivots. So came up with this. Shims to tighten it up and added grease fittings with o rings. All I can do for now. The pivots bolts go in will need to be replaced.
Well not in time for Christmas but it’s in time for another fresh snow. Everything seems great. Also jumps good! Houghton here we come. Can’t wait!

Calling this one a success! Need to investigate why I have a ton of throttle free play and a hid light turned pink but all else is great. No chaincase or oil tank leaks and everything on tunnel feels and looks tight. Handled like a dream suspension is awesome. Great weekend!
A good tip from Jeff a owner at TA. If your water pump was not leaking out weep hole before storage do not panic if you find it leaked while sitting. I had bought a new pump and o rings but on his advice took a chance and did not replace it. Never dripped a drop all weekend. That saved me a ton of time on this rebuild. Owe him!
Best of all we all had a great time even with all the restrictions. I pray for MI UP. There businesses are slowly being killed by the restrictions for sure. My pics so far from weekend.

Great pics, thanks for sharing with us. Trails didnt look to bad. All the reports I have seen said alot of traffic, alot of rocks and puddles. Your pics seem to indicate good trail conditions. thanks again
When trails were bad we didn’t stop for pics! I would say 60/40 with 60 being great trails. No water at all. Very little traffic the way we went. Whooped and rock everywhere coming into town. Take good with bad. Always that way. Can’t find the good ones if you quit on crappy ones. Copper Harbor area was really excellent as was anywhere by Southrange.Great pics, thanks for sharing with us. Awesome, thanks for the real world report. I know alot of us appreciate it! I am glad your sled worked well for you after all that hard work you put into it.
Now the bad news. I ran it very hard on way back from Twin Lakes when I got separated from buddies. At one point after only getting 85mph pinned for at least 2-3mi I noticed lot of clutch noise and squealing belt. I think but cannot ever know for sure what happened first but I am missing magnets in wieghts. That’s all that’s missing but both clutches are pretty much Fubar! Will do all over using all Thunder Products. No more magnets for me!

Gee Steve, and I thought I had it bad after last weeks/weekend riding. Apparently the solenoid in my EC shock on the 08 went out as no dash icon.
