Did you have to replace the primary sheaves?
I had a spare clutch. I suspect the primary is beyond repair but sending it to Terry to see if can be salvaged.Did you have to replace the primary sheaves?

I was wondering the same. Although I'm not that familiar with the clutches on the Yamacats, aren't there suppose to be a plastic bushing on both sides of the spider arms?

This is a problem I am seeing a lot of with rebuilding these Yamaha primaries. It's probably 30% of Yamaha primaries that come in for service.
They were assembled wrong from factory.
The O-rings & O-ring sliders are supposed to be on the opposite side of the spyder (non-torque side). Non-O-ring sliders are supposed to be on the torque side.

Rode around yard and will take in ditch in a bit feels great! River is shot though. Transmission in truck is shifting into overdrive real hard. Not a good week.
